Havoc and The Alchemist sat down with Nessa at HOT 97 to talk about Infinite, the first official Mobb Deep album in over a decade. They opened up about why now was the time for this release, what it meant to bring Prodigy’s presence into the project, and the emotional experience of hearing his vocals again. They talked about the moment they made him an executive producer, how the album stayed true to the classic Mobb Deep sound, and whether any tears were shed during the process. They also reflected on The Infamous turning 30 this year, the impact it still has, and what songs and lessons from that era still stand out today.

They looked back on the ‘90s, the tension with Tupac, and what it was like hearing “Hit Em Up” for the first time. Havoc explained whether Mobb Deep and Pac ever had a chance to reconcile. They also talked about why it was important to release Infinite under Nas’ label and what success means to them now. From who they envy in each other’s creative process, to Alchemist navigating working with Mobb Deep as a West Coast producer, and the decision to put Lil Kim on “Quiet Storm,” the conversation dug deep into legacy, brotherhood, and how they want Mobb Deep to be remembered. Lyrics:
Call her up in the middle of the morning
5:00 on the dot without a warning
Pouring my heart out into the phone

Half awake and barely asleep
Hours spent listening to her dreams
‘Cause hearing that voice makes me feel at home

Well it’s a blessing just to know her name
That sparkle in her eyes can put stars to shame
And it’s a wonder if she’ll ever think twice
On a wretch like me wouldn’t that be nice

Smile brighter than them Arkansas diamonds
Dreams bigger than a Texan’s horizon
Lord knows a poor man like me
Would do anything
‘Cause your love is what I’m pining
Cut nice polished and shining
A gem like you is hard findings
So I’ll Keep on digging for this Arkansas diamond

She lives her life wild and free
She’ll never know what she means to me
Doesn’t have a single clue in the world

She’ll forever have my heart
No matter where we are
It’ll always belong to you girl

And it’s a blessing just to know her touch
Her sweet southern drawl will make you fall in love
And this lady that I hold so dear
Well I’d be nothing without her here

Smile brighter than them Arkansas diamonds
Dreams bigger than a Texan’s horizon
Lord knows a poor man like me
Would do anything
‘Cause your love is what I’m pining
Cut nice polished and shining
A gem like you is hard findings
So I’ll Keep on digging for this Arkansas diamond

►Letra:
Tengo claro
Lo que tengo que hacer
Pa’ que me creas
Pero no quiero

Ya tienes tus ideas
Mi versión, tu veredicto
También tienes el don de hacer arder
O de calmar este conflicto

Ya no meto
Ni siquiera las manos
Tal vez me hice masoquista
Quizá me confundí
Y fue sexo a primera vista

Si hubo tal amor
A estas alturas
Yo ya no creo que exista

Lo que es claro es que tú y yo
Vamos a ningún lado, corazón
Para pelear, nomás se ocupan dos
Y hoy no ando con ganas
Que me levanten la voz

Hoy le cambio de estación
Creo que aquí culmina mi misión
Tome la decisión sin ver atrás
Porque ahora mi presente
No me gusta donde está

¡Y suena y suena, compa Alfredo!
¡MS, compa!

Lo que es claro es que tú y yo
Vamos a ningún lado, corazón
Para pelear, nomás se ocupan dos
Y hoy no tengo ganas

Like that Ah! Like that Ooh!
Make you mine mine
Like that Ah! Ooh!
1, 2, 3, POSE!

Wait a minute
I saw your eyes
Zoom in은 Okay
Filter는 No thanks
Your eyes like a camera, baby
Okay

Crazy
Fancy
Energy
So great! So cool!
Keep your eyes on me
Yeah you know I got it

Hey 집중해 All your eyes
Zoom in tight, tight
Now 집중해 All your heart
Oh yeah here we go, here we go

Like that Ah! Like that Ooh!
Feel so high, high
Like that Ah! Like that Ooh!

Make you mine mine
Keep your eyes on me 알고 싶겠지
You & I! Like that Ooh!
Feel so high, high

All right!
You’re mine!
You & I! Like that Ooh!
Feel so high, high

Pit a pat pat pat
Giddy
Feeling
Feel me

Smile
Blow your mind

Crazy
Fancy
Chemistry
So great! So cool!
Keep your eyes on me
Yeah you know I like it

Hey 집중해 All your eyes

Like that hey 넌 나만 따라오면 돼 Yeah

LYRICS
Killing your idols is a chore
And it’s such a fucking bore
Cause I don’t need them anymore
So
Maybe if you just got some guts
We’d kill them with a thousand cuts
And say we did it out of love

So save your breath
Give a little of what you have left
Do they know something I don’t?

Is it easier when you don’t have to count to ten?
When you don’t have to pretend?
I want to know that feeling
Is it easier when you don’t have to start again
When you don’t want to make amends?
I want to know that feeling

Good girls don’t cry
And good girls don’t lie
And good girls justify but I don’t
Good girls don’t die
And good girls stay alive
And good girls satisfy but I won’t

They tell me I’m hellbent on revenge
I cut my teeth on weaker men
I won’t apologise again
And
I never had a taste for liars
Or the uniquely uninspired
Cause I don’t need to be desired

Is it easier when you don’t have to count to ten?
When you don’t have to pretend?
I want to know that feeling
Is it easier when you don’t have to start again
When you don’t want to make amends?
I want to know that feeling

Good girls don’t cry
And good girls don’t lie
And good girls justify but I don’t
Good girls don’t die
And good girls stay alive
And good girls satisfy but I won’t
No, I won’t
Killing your idols is a chore
And it’s such a fucking bore
But we don’t need them anymore
We don’t need them anymore

Letra

Y puedes estar seguro
Que en mi vida solo hay uno
Y como tú ninguno

El cielo te mandó para mí
Y me di cuenta al besarte
Que tú eres el amor que pedí
Y no me veo en otra parte

El cielo te mandó para mí
Y puedes estar seguro
Que en mi vida solo hay uno
Y como tú ninguno

Breaking news this morning as Crazy Town, the 2000’s era group who you might remember for the massive hit Butterfly announced that their frontman shifty shellshock whose real name is Seth Binzer, died at his home on Monday. He was 49.
Crazy Town was best known for its 2000 hit song "Butterfly," which peaked No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song would sample one time tour mates and close friends of the group Red Hot Chili Peppers 1989 song Pretty Little Ditty from mothers milk. The song would also top the charts in 7 other countries. Crazy Town’s debut album, “The Gift of Game,” sold more than 1.5 million copies. In a strange twist the group claimed they never wanted to release butterfly as the lead single
Guitarist Kraig "Squirrel" Tyler would explain to an interviewer: "We knew all along we didn't want to release 'Butterfly' first because we didn't want to be known as the band that does 'Butterfly'. We are looking at this like we want to have a career. That isn't who we are".[3]
The critical reception to butterfly was mixed. VH1 named it the the 34th "Most Awesomely Bad Song Ever" by VH1. but spin labelled it as the 13th best nu-metal song.
Shellshock for his part struggled with addiction throughout his music career. The singer appeared on the reality TV shows "Celebrity Rehab" for two seasons and "Sober House" for another two. He would credit Anthony Kedisi, frontman of the CHili Peppers of helping him with him get sober recalling to rolling stone “Anthony found me and took me to lunch — where I tried to borrow money from him so I could get high. I didn’t finish my rampage for a couple of days, but he showed me that I had people who were worried and cared about me. Anthony’s this angel who appeared in my life.”
Crazy Town would break up in 2003 after their sop****re effort, “Darkhouse,” was a commercial failure. They would eventually reunite, releasing their latest album 2015’s The Brimstone Sluggers. Many would brand the band as one hit wonders as none of their releases lived up to “Butterfly”. Just last year, pop-rock singer Gayle interpolated the song for her contribution to the Barbie soundtrack, “butterflies.” No additional details regarding the circumstances of his death have been revealed.
