This is a Topop classic!
The Babys are a British rock group best known for their songs "Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think of You". Both songs were composed by Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy, and they reached No. 13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the Cashbox chart in the late 1970s. The classic Babys line-up consisted of founding member keyboardist/guitarist Michael Corby, and, in order of joining the group, vocalist/bassist John Waite, drummer Tony Brock and guitarist Wally Stocker.
In this Toppop recording of 7 January 1978 one of the Dutch back-up singers is Margriet Eshuys of Dutch band Lucifer. Anyone recognises the other singer?

This hit reached #4 on the Dutch Top 40 on 4 on 14 January 1978

Phone full of options
Bank full of bills
don’t do it cause I need to
I do it for the thrill
Phone full of options
Bank full of bills
don’t do it cause I need to
I do it for the thrill
Phone full of options
Bank full of bills
Stay on trips
But I never take pills
Phone full of options
Bank full of bills
Bills

It’s been a couple years since I made a couple mil
Touched down in the hills, put my stick to the till
And I doubled that, tripled that new tax bracket
Talk to me nice in my Northface jacket
Most of these men just mad they can’t have it
They bitches plastic
That bitch is a catfish
Oh so dramatic
Me, I’m sitting pretty with my lil ass titties winning pageants
Ugh - I’d be mad too
If I was you, baby
So shut up

Shut up
Shut up
Might throw it in your face just to get you to
Shut up
Shut up
Shut up
Shut up
Shut up
Shut up
Might throw it in your face just to get you to

Yeah, woah
Phone full of options
Fucking on a top 10
Bag full of antioxidants for the toxins
Know your ex watching
Know they see me locked in
Came from a different angle, I can’t be boxed in
Bitch better read the room like you telepromptin
And watch how you speak to a nigga cause I’m not them
Old school, pair of gold chains, going Rakim
Batman, Black Man, Billionaire but
But ain’t nobody robbin
I tell a bad bitch to her face that she grounded
And tell her she on punishment till further announcement
She know that I’m daddy, I never been stingy with allowance
Baby girl, good ain’t good enough be astounding
Half the time she need a man, the other half counseling
Baby when you hit the top, gotta stay grounded
I know she scared of heights so I told her climb the dick
And just don’t look down then
Okay

Charlie Puth - Hero
Listen: https://charlieputh.lnk.to/HeroID

Lyrics:
I wanna stop by and play it cool
It's hard to talk with all these people in your room
I try to lock eyes and give you clues
So you can come and follow me out by the pool

My blood pressure elevates
When I call you out for being fake
And I don’t want to be mean
But I’m not gonna shut up instead

I know who you really are
And your so-called friends, quotation marks
I don’t wanna make a scene
She cut me off and that’s when she said

I don’t need a hero, I don’t want to be saved
But I said I’ll be here every night and day (Oh)
I don’t need a hero, but if you let me stay
Oh, I can still be here, every night and day

You hide your feelings
(Hide your feelings)
You medicate
(You medicate)
You’re doing shit that’s keeping both of us awake

Make me the villain
(Make me the villain)
I know it helps
But I'm not gonna run like everybody else, no

My blood pressure elevates
When I call you out for being fake
And I don’t want to be mean
But I’m not gonna shut up instead

I know who you really are (really are)
And your so-called friends, quotation marks
I don’t wanna make a scene
She cut me off and that’s when she said

I don’t need a hero, I don’t want to be saved
But I said I’ll be here every night and day (Oh)
I don’t need a hero, but if you let me stay
Oh, I can still be here, every night and day

(I don’t need a hero) (Oh)
(I said I’ll be here) (Oh)

Loving you ain't easy but I’m never gonna stop it
I know that night I lost my head and I was being out of pocket
I wasn't trying to start a fight or tell you how to live your life
I just wanted (I just wanted) you to know I fucking care she said

I don’t need a hero, I don’t want to be saved
(I don’t want to be saved)
But I said I’ll be here every night and day (Oh)
I don’t need a hero, but if you let me stay
(If you let me stay)
Oh, I can still be here, every night and day (Oh)

I don’t need a hero, I don’t want to be saved
But I said I’ll be here every night and day
I don’t need a hero, but if you let me stay
Oh, I can still be here, every night and day (Oh)

I can't wait to play for you all again so press the notification bell to set your reminder! If you can, please consider using the donation links on this stream to help raise money to save our venues.

Big or small, spending time honing your craft and performing in venues is vital on the journey to becoming a successful touring and recording artist. We must never live in a world where live music venues don’t exist. They are as important for the artist as they are for the countless visitors and of course the dedicated staff that devote themselves to running those rooms like clockwork. Venues offer a joy, an escape and a magic you just don’t experience through a screen or even through a stereo speaker. At all costs, we must save our venues.

What if funk/fusion drummer Dennis Chambers was the drummer for Tool?

(Don’t tell Danny Carey.)

Dennis is known for his legendary backbeat and funky style. So of course we felt mischievous and we dared him to try playing “Schism”, one of Tool’s biggest songs. It’s full of odd time signatures, quick, complex changes and unexpected accents, and Dennis had never heard it before.

But we didn’t ask him to learn the real drum parts: we wanted to see what he’d come up with on his own after hearing the song once. While you’ll hear the song with drums in this video, Dennis was actually listening to a drumless track.

“This is not me,” he warned us as he listened through the track, but “in my younger days, this would’ve been up my alley!”

How will Dennis Chambers not only learn a song he’s never heard before, but in a style he’s unfamiliar with – and in odd time, at that?

Since the song doesn’t have a drum track, he listens for two things: the style and the time signature. Watch Dennis’ playthrough where he gives it his own spin. It’s solid, it’s groovy, and there’s some unexpected footwork later on. It’s amazing how much a song can change with a different approach on the drums.

You’ve never heard Schism played like this before!

If you like Dennis Chambers, he has an entire 12-lesson course on funk drumming for Drumeo members. Join today and learn from the best!

Watch the official video for The Beatles’ “I'm Only Sleeping,” directed by Em Cooper.

Beautiful harmonies, experimental recording methods and avant-garde composition combine to create this dreamlike song, evocative of The Beatles’ pioneering approach to the music of Revolver.

Artist and director Em Cooper explored the space between dreaming and wakefulness, working on an animation rostrum on sheets of celluloid. She painted every frame individually in oil-paint, a labourious process which took many months.

Get The Beatles’ Revolver into your life with the new mixes and expanded Special Editions. Available everywhere now across 5CD/4LP Super Deluxe, 2CD Deluxe, Picture Disk, 1LP, 1CD, Download and Streaming. Dolby Atmos Mixes + original mono mix accompany never-before-released session recordings and demos, plus the “Paperback Writer” and “Rain” EP.

The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver changed everything. Spinning popular music off its axis and ushering in a vibrant new era of experimental, avant-garde sonic psychedelia, Revolver brought about a cultural sea change and marked an important turn in The Beatles’ own creative evolution. With Revolver, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr set sail together across a new musical sea.

Showcasing GRAMMY-winning original album artwork created by Klaus Voormann, the Super Deluxe CD and vinyl house a beautiful book featuring Paul McCartney’s foreword, an introduction by Giles Martin, an enlightening essay by Questlove, and insightful chapters by Kevin Howlett.
