Taken off the album "Cycles Of Pain" (November 3rd, 2023)
🎧 Stream, get it here: https://angra.afr.link/cyclesofpainYT

The band state: "'Ride Into The Storm' is a relentless and aggressive piece that captures the essence of ANGRA's style. With its fast-paced tempo and modern flair, the song retains the band's distinct DNA while delivering intricate and technically challenging passages; the fusion of traditional and progressive elements pushes the boundaries without sacrificing the band's signature style. 'Ride Into The Storm' is one more step in ANGRA's evolution, embodying aggression, speed, modernity, and ability in one cohesive and engaging package. The lyrics take us on a powerful and transformative journey, portraying the duality within us as we face both challenges and opportunities. Amidst division and adversity, we find the strength to evolve and grow. Guided by hope and a thirst for truth, we embark on a new crusade, united as warriors of change. With unwavering determination, we fearlessly confront the chaos, embracing transformation and forging our own destiny. The storm becomes our ally, propelling us forward as we ride towards a brighter future."

Lyrics:

Divinum Iudicium
Tempestas vocata est
Præparate

We are the beasts, we are the saviors too
Looking out across the land to nowhere

There is a force to reckon with
(Divided)
It’s only human nature

And what has been shall never be again
Just dismiss the way we suffer, there is more than life at stake

There is a way, I know
We change our forms and grow
The winds prevail, advance and sail into the sun
There is no rain or snow
To shroud the afterglow
A new crusade, unrest will fade, we’re marching on
Ride into the storm

The air is static, you can smell the burn
Of a thousand points of light and thunder
The clouds of years of hate will soon dispel
To illuminate our minds and to free the truth again

We are the soldiers of the blessed
(United)
Controlling circumstances

There is a way, I know
To change our forms and grow
The winds prevail, advance and sail into the sun
There is no rain or snow
To shroud the afterglow
A new crusade, unrest will fade, we’re marching on
Ride into the storm

This night, so quiet, no haze, calmness all around
No fear, hope is near, follow the guiding light

Onwards, to the eye, straight line, dive into the mayhem
No trial, no deep denial, justice served

There is a way, I know
We change our forms and grow
The winds prevail, advance and sail into the sun
There is no rain or snow
To shroud the afterglow
A new crusade, unrest will fade, we’re marching on
Ride into the storm

Præparate

Ann Peebles - I Can't Stand the Rain (Official Audio) Hotney 7 Streams • 3 years ago

Happy Birthday Ann Peebles! Listen to title track from her 1973 album 'I Can't Stand The Rain' now.

Stream here: https://annpeebles.ffm.to/icantstandtherain

"This wonderful album, originally released in 1974 on the Memphis-based Hi Records label, deserved a wider audience than it ended up getting at the time. It played to Ann Peebles' great strength, her poised and sultry voice, and surrounded by the sparse, easy funkiness of the trademark Hi rhythm section and producer Willie Mitchell's perfect use of horns and strings, she sings like a resilient but disappointed angel on this impressive set of songs about the darker side of love. Her best song is here, the eccentric but brilliant "I Can't Stand the Rain," along with a marvelous version of Joe Simon's "(You Keep Me) Hangin' On," and perfect readings of a pair of Earl Randle songs, "If We Can't Trust Each Other" and "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down." Peebles sings her heart out, and with those somehow bright-sounding Hi grooves behind her, it all comes together to make a classic album of dark, bouncy, and beautiful Southern soul." - Steve Leggett/AMG

Lyrics:

I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain 'gainst my window
'Cause he's not here with me
Hey window pain do you remember
How sweet it used to be
When we were together
Everything was so grand, yes it was
Now that we've parted
And there's one sound that I just can't stand
I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain
Alone with the pillow
Where his head used to lay, yeah
I know you've got some sweet memories
But like a window you ain't got nothin' to say
I can't stand the rain against my window
Bringing back sweet memories, hey
I can't stand the rain, ooh
Against my window, oh-no-no
'Cause he's not here with me, uh
Alone with the pillow, uh-uh
Where his head used to lay, yeah
I know you've got some sweet memories
But like a window
You ain't got nothin' to say, hey-hey
Uh-uh
(I can't, I can't, I can't, can't stand the rain)
(I can't, I can't, I can't, can't stand the rain)
(I can't, I can't, I can't, can't stand the rain)
(I can't, I can't, I can't, can't stand the rain)
(I can't, I can't, I can't, can't stand the rain)
Get off my window now, get off my window
Get off my window nah, I can't stand the rain
I can't stand the rain, ooh, can't stand the rain, oh
