The band has never done a video like this before, but says it was like being on a movie set with Director Francesca Ludikar at the helm leading moment after bloody moment of this fast paced, heart pounding roller coaster of a video. “We’re aiming for the temple, swinging for the fences and making heads rock in this one. Only one of us will be left standing in the end.” says the band.

The concept was written by singer Elias Soriano and even he warns viewers, “This is what happens when you take an infectious riff, anthemic lyrics, an aluminum baseball bat, some duct tape, and a grudge, put it in a blender and serve it cold blooded.”

Revolution is Diplo's follow up to the meme-defining Express Yourself EP. Teaming up with an all new cast of friends including Mike Posner, RiFF RAFF, Travis Porter, Action Bronson and many more , Diplo has produced one of the most cutting edge dance EP's in recent memory. "Biggie Bounce" continues where "Express Yourself" left off, creating a new NOLA bounce anthem with Travis Porter, restating Diplo's claim to the king of twerk. Diplo aims for the clouds with "Revolution," allowing Kai's vocal delivery to soar above the stadium trap instrumental. "Crown" lets loose one of the hardest drops of Diplo's career only to have him pull it back in with Mike Posner's light hearted vocals. Fridayy – Lost My Way | Vevo DSCVR Artists To Watch 2024

Earlier this year the Vevo team hosted Fridayy at the Brooklyn location of our ctrl series. To get there requires a quick drive up interstate 95 from the Philly dude’s home city, and we could tell he was really comfortable on the mic that day. Not just comfortable. Totally in his bag. This was right around the release of his self-titled debut, which is less of a conventional R&B tape and something more like a 40 minute seminar in spirituality, resilience, and community. Almost at 2 million views as of now, those ctrl takes of “Stand By Me” and “Done For Me” are an undeniable metric of the crooner’s gravity and growing cache in pop and R&B. DJ Khaled obviously saw the potential when he tapped the son of Haitian immigrants for the title track on ‘GOD DID.’ And check the way he brings a little gospel to Lil Baby’s “Forever.” That one got him a spot on SNL and another chance to woo audiences with his live skills. Fridayy - born Francis LeBlanc - is also a multi-instrumentalist. So it wasn’t a surprised that when we invited him to come to our studios, this time for Artists To Watch 2024, he had drums, bass, and guitar in tow. Backup singers too. “Lost My Way” tiptoes through a dembow riddim. “When It Comes To You” is an R&B love song that leaves ego at the door (spend some time with its nuptial video). We truly can’t wait to see where he goes from here.

The dance performed in the video is called “Para para”, sort of Japanese line dancing. According to those in the know: “It is not tiresome, you can Para para for hours”

FunFact: Roy was captured by the infamous dancing machine. After meeting the owner of the arcade, Roy traded his cowboy costume for the machine. The vacant spot in the entertainment hall is still proudly filled with his costume.
