Tia Gostelow - I'm Getting Bored of This (Official Music Video)

I’m Getting Bored of This was the last song that was written for my album, Head Noise, and ended up being the catalyst for naming the album Head Noise. I wanted to do one last writing session with my friend Matt McGuffie before I went into the studio to record to see if I could squeeze out one more song. I still felt like I had more to say on the record, I trust Matt and we work really well together as a songwriting team so I thought we should try our luck.

I drove down to the Gold Coast to Matt’s house and we started writing the song in the little studio in his garage. We were just catching up and talking about life and we ended up on the topic of anxiety after drinking and how it can affect so many aspects of your day to day life. I’m someone that gets horrible hangxiety after a night out, I can’t sleep the next day because my mind is racing thinking about things I could have said or done, it affects my mental clarity when I’m working during the week and I just don’t feel myself for a few days.

The cycle of drinking on a weekend and then feeling off all week, coming good again by Friday and then doing it all over again can be easy to fall into and I think I’ve learnt what my body physically and mentally can and can’t deal with. Don’t get me wrong I love having a drink with my friends and going out but I’m learning to take care of myself a little more.

I LOVE this song so much and I instantly knew that the album was completed when we finished writing it. It really was the missing piece of the puzzle.

LYRICS
It’s Wednesday, I’m still stuck in my bed,
3 days to forget what I said,
to my ex, did I ruin my dress,
send stupid texts?
Always second guessing it,
New York is a place i’d rather be,
The coffees shit but at least no one will notice me,
Why am I always so tired, so tired?

Maybe it’s a sign,
I should stop justifying it,
I know how this goes,
Losing sight, getting bored of it,
I’m getting so bored of this,
So bored, So bored,
I’m getting so bored of it

I slipped out of this haze i was in,
For awhile now, thought i’d never grow out,
Of this phase i’m in,
I was struggling,
Always second guessing it,
I’ve been sinking in circles,
Drowning on the couch,
It’s always been so obvious,
But I’ve just figured out,
Why i’m so tired, always so tired

Maybe it’s a sign,
I should stop justifying it,
I know how this goes,
losing sight, getting bored of it,
I’m getting so bored of this,

So bored, so bored,
I’m getting so bored of this,
So bored, so bored,
I’m getting so bored of this

Head noise is fading,
It’s so outdated,
I don’t think i’m gonna miss it,
So many places,
All these new faces,
Sometimes i’m gonna miss it

Head noise is fading,
It’s so outdated,
I don’t think i’m gonna miss it,
So many places,
All these new faces,
Sometimes i’m gonna miss it

Maybe it’s a sign,
I should stop justifying it,
I know how this goes,
losing sight, getting bored of it,
I’m getting so bored of this

Head noise is fading,
(So bored, so bored)
It’s so outdated,
I don’t think i’m gonna miss it,
(I’m getting so bored of this)

So many places,
(So bored, so bored)
All these new faces,
Sometimes i’m gonna miss it,
(I’m getting so bored of this)

Head noise is fading,
It’s so outdated,
I don’t think i’m gonna miss it

"It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it. I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people that need it. As we move forward to the Hollywood Bowl show and beyond, I think about the people that connect with the band, outside and inside our circle. This video is a gesture of good will to the people that want that connection."
- JOE HAHN

"One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end. In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again."
- MIKE SHINODA

Lyrics:
Should've stayed, were there signs, I ignored?
Can I help you, not to hurt, anymore?
We saw brilliance, when the world, was asleep
There are things that we can have, but can't keep

If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In the sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
Or quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

The reminders, pull the floor from your feet
In the kitchen, one more chair than you need, oh
And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair
Just 'cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it, isn't there

If they say
Who cares if one more light goes out?
In the sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
Or quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do

(I do)

Who cares if one more light goes out?
In the sky of a million stars
It flickers, flickers
Who cares when someone's time runs out?
If a moment is all we are
Or quicker, quicker
Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do
Well I do

Lyrics

I remember years ago
Someone told me I should take
Caution when it comes to love, I did

And you were strong and I was not
My illusion, my mistake
I was careless, I forgot, I did

And now
When all is done, there is nothing to say
You have gone and so effortlessly
You have won, you can go ahead tell them

Tell them all I know now
Shout it from the roof tops
Write it on the sky line
All we had is gone now

Tell them I was happy
And my heart is broken
All my scars are open
Tell them what I hoped would be impossible
Impossible
Impossible
Impossible

Falling out of love is hard
Falling for betrayal is worse
Broken trust and broken hearts
I know, I know
And thinking all you need is there
Building faith on love and words
Empty promises will wear
I know
I know and now

When all is done, there is nothing to say
And if you're done with embarrassing me
On your own you can go ahead tell them

Tell them all I know now
Shout it from the roof tops
Write it on the sky line
All we had is gone now

Tell them I was happy
And my heart is broken
All my scars are open
Tell them what I hoped would be impossible
Impossible
Impossible
Impossible

I remember years ago
Someone told me I should take
Caution when it comes to love
I did

Tell them all I know now
Shout it from the roof tops
Write it on the sky line
All we had is gone now

Tell them I was happy
And my heart is broken
Oh what I hoped would be impossible
Impossible (Impossible)
Impossible (Impossible)
(Impossible)

Impossible
(Impossible)
Impossible
(Impossible)
Impossible
