Tessa Thompson - I Will Go to War (From "Creed II" Soundtrack) Hotney 7 Streams • 3 years ago

Creed II (Score & Music from the Original Motion Picture) – I Will Go to War (performed by Tessa Thompson)

Creed II tells the story of Adonis Creed who is up against the challenge of his life, between personal obligations and training for his next big fight. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

Listen to the full soundtrack here: https://soundtracks.lnk.to/Creed2

The soundtrack features music by three-time Grammy Award nominee Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Fruitvale Station, Atlanta). Göransson makes his return to the Creed franchise for film’s soundtrack, which includes a star-studded lineup of features from A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples and Jacob Banks. Moreover, Tessa Thompson is performing two songs, including “I Will Go to War”. The movie stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Phylicia Rashad, Dolph Lundgren and is directed by Steven Caple Jr. From Metro-Goldwyn-Maier, New Line Cinema and Chartoff-Winkler Productions.
Composer LUWIG GÖRANSSON says: “In Creed II, Creed is now at the peak of his career. He is facing big responsibilities and decisions that will affect not only him but also his family. When I wrote the score for Creed II, I continued on my journey from the first Creed. The themes that were more youthful three years ago now had to mature into a more serious musical language. It was also a huge honor to write a theme for one of the most popular antagonists in film history, the Drago family.”

LYRICS
Ran the whole way
Ran the whole thing
Never ran away
Never been afraid
Never goin' to break
Never halfway
I don't know if I can take it
I can't take it, I can't take it anymore
I don't know if I can do it
If it wasn't for who I do it for
Doesn't make sense but it makes dollars
Doesn't make sense but it makes dollars
And I wanna spend it all on you
Against the world but I'm with you
I will go to war
Don't let you down (Don't let you down)
Won't let you down (Won't let you down)
I will go to war (I will go to war)
I will go to war (I will go to war)
Don't let you down (Don't let you down)
Won't let you down (Won't let you down, down)
I will go to war (I will go to war)
I will go to war

Lyrics:
Alright

Break me down, you got a lovely face
We're going to your place
And now you got to freak me out
Scream so loud, getting fucking laid
You want me to stay, but I got to make my way

Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on
Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on

Take it off, the paper is your game
You jump in bed with fame
Another one night paid in full, uh
You're so fine, it won't be a loss
Cashing in the rocks, just to get you face to face

Get the video
Fuck you so good
Get the video
Fuck you so good
Crazy bitch
Crazy bitch
Crazy, bitch

Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on
Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back
Come on

Baby girl
You want it all
To be a star
You'll have to go down
Take it off
No need to talk
You're crazy
But I like the way you fuck me

Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on
Hey
You're a crazy bitch
But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it
When I dream, I'm doing you all night
Scratches all down my back to keep me right on
You keep me right on

You're crazy
But I like the way you fuck me

Lyrics:

When the snowman brings the snow
Well he just might like to know
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
If you jump into your bed
Quickly cover up your head
Don't you lock the doors
You know that sweet Santa Claus in on the way

Well I wish it could be Christmas every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every day
Let the bells ring out for Christmas

When we're skating in the park
If the storm cloud makes it dark
Then your rosy cheek's going to light my merry way
Now the frosticles appear
And they've frozen up my beard
So we'll lie by the fire
Till the sleet simply knocks 'em all away

Well I wish it could be Christmas every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every day
Let the bells ring out for Christmas

When the snowman brings the snow
Well he just might like to know
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
So if Santa brings that sleigh
All along the Milky Way
I'll sign my name on the roof top in the snow
Then he may decide to stay

Well I wish it could be Christmas every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every day
Let the bells ring out for Christmas
Well I wish it could be Christmas every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh, I wish it could be Christmas every day
Let the bells ring out for Christmas
Why don't you give your love for Christmas?

When the snowman brings the snow
When the snowman brings the snow
