I told niggas like this
Crippin where it's at
Cause that's where I'm at
And that's what I did
and that's how I live
Ask my relatives
Snoops, my big cousin
Daz is my brother
Now, let me just remind you niggas
of my favorite color
The ocean, the skies
The color of that blonde bitch's eyes
the motion, the vibes
blue khaki suit synchronized
huh I make niggas wanna do that shit
Cause I'm the owner of that
motherfucking blue nose pit

(Chorus)
My favorite color's blue
(favorite color's blue)

Any other color than that

I stay draped in blue
You know that nigga Daz

LYRICS
Seems I get in my own way,
The more I think, the less I say,
I hope I communicate the craving,

Now I see intentions don’t mean much.

Say enough, say enough,
Did I let her know, let her know,
If I found my body in chains,
I’d lay down and wait,
And hope she looks for me.

She just wants to catch a wave,
Ride it out to the end of her days,
I hope that I can satiate the craving,

Now I see a gesture don’t mean much.

Say enough, say enough,
Did I let her know, let her know,
If I found my body in chains,
I’d lay down and wait,
’Cause it’s the fear of the unknown,
That cripples every step we take,
And I just hate to put this on her,

But I swear that I will give more than I take away.

Josh Ross - Single Again (Live) | Vevo DSCVR Hotney 7 Streams • 2 years ago

Josh Ross - Single Again (Live). An exclusive performance for Vevo DSCVR, the channel for the best in new music.

"When you're all over him, I hope you're all over me/I got a king size bed just missing a queen..." That's the kind of couplet that helps a song plant a major foothold on a listener, and country upstart Josh Ross packs mucho emotion into those "Single Again" lines. In an instant, you know what it's like to stand in his shoes. The Ontario native was a sports head before he was a music head; he knows his way around a gridiron. But after earning some dap by co-leading a regional band called Silver Lining in the late 2010s, he started taking songs and songwriting a bit more seriously. 2022 gave us the impressive "First Taste of Gone," and then he made hay as a finalist in SiriusXM's 'Top Of The Country' contest. A 'Rising Star' nom by the Canadian Country Music Awards also proved he wasn't just spinnin' his wheels. When the start of 2023 brought the mighty "Trouble," and "Ain't Doin' Jack" hit last summer, he was on his way. Ross just dropped his first full project, 'Complicated.' We listened and listened and thought more folks should have him on their radar. His performances of "Single Again" and "Trouble" hit the bullseye. He knows how to captivate a crowd. Which means it would be wise to see him this summer. After a stop at the always-fun Stagecoach Festival in Cali, he heads to the UK, and then circles back home for dates in Canada and the US. Don't miss!

Lyrics:
I wish that I could say I can only deal with so much rejection
But that implies i’m gonna leave and i’m too weak yeah I’m too weak now
I’m hopelessly addicted to the breadcrumbs of your affection
When you send one less kiss than me it’s all i read it’s all i read now
Pre chorus:
I say I love you but you only reply 1 out of 5 times
Like I love you but I hate you, it’s such a fucking fine line
Chorus:
Are you doing it to spite me or
Couldn’t you say it a little more
Do you really only love sometimes
At a ratio of 1:5
Is the person I’ve been fighting for
Emotionally unavailable
What have we been so divided by?
Love me once, I love you back 5 times
Verse 2:
I don’t know how to keep to my own bare minimum boundaries
I hope you never see the truth that I would move them all for you now
So I cling on to the secret while you dance in circles around me
We both know I won’t make you choose, in case you do, in case i lose, now
Pre chorus:
I say I love you but you only reply 1 out of 5 times
Like I love you but I hate you, it’s such a fucking fine line
Chorus:
Are you doing it to spite me or
Couldn’t you say it a little more
Do you really only love sometimes
At a ratio of 1:5
Is the person I’ve been fighting for
Emotionally unavailable
What have we been so divided by?
Love me once, I love you back 5 times
Outro:
So say I say I say I say I say I love youSo say I say I say I say I say I love you
So say I say I say I say I say I love you
Do you really only love sometimes
Sometimes
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
So say I say I say I say I say I love you
Do you really only love sometimes

Lyrics:
Sometimes you gotta lose yourself to find yourself again
Welcome back, Marlanna

One for the money and one for the homies
I move with respect
I don’t need nothing on me
The father made way for me
Feel just like Bronny
I got my lick back, look my blessings they on me
They reign and they rain
Yeah you see how I’m coming
Pop pop pop pop off
It sound like we drummin’
I reach all my goals
Like my nephew be dunkin’
Back on the rims, riding on rims
Came in all black to dat
I came back, back to back
Backed up my * to that
Reppin North Kackalak
Feel like a Cadillac
Nothing but classics
Never been average
Never been, uh
Avirex on me, I’m tougher than homie Gervonta
The fight is my mantra
I want it, I will
Get you a will
They carrying steel
We fighting to live
My * it’s hard

I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God
(The duffle, the Louie, the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)
I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God
(The duffle, the Louie, the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)

Back in my duffle
Don't fear no opponent
You know I’m gon hustle like rubber band on it
Countin’ my blessings I'm laughing, like Jonah
You don't wish me well
I guess you don't know me
God walk these *
Like Malcolm in Sadi
That's word to my mama
Tatted on my body
My left arm, they ain’t left arms
They still doin’ harm
Bodies on bodies
Cried over Malcolm
I cried over Dolphin
I’m crying for Nipsey
Been feeling like Lauryn
Carry the cross
Got the sun in my eyes
Groom for this I ain’t meant to be no bride
Unmarried but I know you still feel obliged
Bounce on these *
I learned from Sanaa
Back in my bag and it’s big as a duffle
Wit blessings on blessings I came through the struggle
I’m back

I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God
(The duffle, the Louie, the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)
I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God

Yeah Yeah (The duffle, the Louie, the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)

I came through the rain and I came through the thunder
I push through the pain
I'm laughing at summer
My * was way hotter
I feel like Assata
Escape wit my truth
I came back like Nirvana
Road is all rocky
It’s nothing I reup
Go back to back baby, can't know one here see us
Stomach it all till I look like Aaliyah
Went back and forth, forth and back just like a cornerback
Yeah yeah
You * got heaux veins
I respect Hovain
Tell em get low mane
Bullets is flying high
I give them lo mein
Food for thought, cocaine color the whip
Culinary on my wrist
Cookin’ you, I ain’t forgot what you did
State of it all eventually falls
Frequency, this is the shift
I’m home

I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God
(The duffle, the Louie, the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)
I'm back in my bag
I'm back in my bag on God
(The duffle, the Louie the Telfar, the Gucci, I’m back)

Dax - " A Real Man" (Official Music Video) Hotney 7 Streams • 2 years ago

[LYRICS BELOW] “A Real Man” is my favorite song I’ve ever written and a story I think needs to be told. I’m praying it opens up the bridge of communication and reaches everyone who needs it. I wholeheartedly believe in this one. Share this with everyone and anyone and let’s make an IMPACT with music for the people spread by the people. Love y’all. Thank you.

Lyrics:

Yeah she says she wants a real man
One who opens up the door holds her hand
And still smiles when he feels bad
In control of his emotions
Wears his heart on his sleeve
but don’t get mad
One who gives her all his time
Puts his dreams to the side
And gets a real bag
Yeah she says she wants a real man
But what she wants is not for real man

Realest story ever told
can’t have a man who’s
making money always home
Heart like a truck
that’s why he’s always on the road
providing everything you need
to live the life you say you want
Can’t have a man who wears
his heart on a sleeve
that won’t rip once a while at the seams
Especially if you never take the time
To look into his eyes
And hear him when he silently screams

Yeah she says she wants a real man
One who opens up the door holds her hand
And still smiles when he feels bad
In control of his emotions
Wears his heart on his sleeve
but don’t get mad
One who gives her all his time
Puts his dreams to the side
And gets a real bag
Yeah she says she wants a REAL MAN
But what she wants is not for REAL MAN

That Disney movie that she wanted
Was a dream and not reality
or something that she got
She put that man up on a pedestal
Discards him when she
found out he was human then he dropped
He’s not perfect
But oh he tries
To live up to her beautiful lie
But as time goes by
He’ll realize
The man he once knew
on the inside him died

Yeah she says she wants a real man
One who opens up the door holds her hand
And still smiles when he feels bad
In control of his emotions
Wears his heart on his sleeve
but don’t get mad
One who gives her all his time
Puts his dreams to the side
And gets a real bag
Yeah she says she wants a REAL MAN
But what she wants is not for REAL MAN

Love is patient
Love is kind
Can be evil and also blind
God made man then said in life
He’ll find good things
When he finds his wife
So as a real man broken and confused
Struggling not knowing what to do
He dove to the bottom of the bottle
Drowned in his sorrows
And prayed one day she would rescue
By stop pointing out all his mistakes
Be the place he felt safe
To express the emotions
The world said he can’t
He’s the rock that she needs
But she hammers away
At the love that he has
Like she wants it to break
Despite all of the pain
He twisted and changed
Trying to become
the whole picture she paints
Till she woke up one day
Said she’s walking away
Looked him dead in the face
and then screamed

That she says she wants a real man
One who opens up the door holds her hand
And still smiles when he feels bad
In control of his emotions
Wears his heart on his sleeve
but don’t get mad
One who gives her all his time
Puts his dreams to the side
And gets a real bag
Yeah she says she wants a REAL MAN
But what she wants is not for REAL MAN

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

If you made it this deep in the post, you’re a real one. To be honest, this is my favorite song I’ve ever written. That says a lot. The opportunity to open up the lines of communication between people is something that truly excites me and I’m excited for the discussion that will follow this video and song. All your support is appreciated, and not taken for granted. Thank you all for continuing to allow me to use my platform to make an impact with music for the people spread by the people. I promise to continue to put all my effort and resources into creating pieces we can all be proud of that will become the soundtrack to our lives. LIKE, COMMENT, and SHARE and let’s continue to spark to minds and be the change we wish to see in the world. Much love.

Lyrics:
All the back and forth getting complicated
Running me around
Got me frustrated, no
That’s why I been laying low
If you wanna make it work baby, gotta say it
Need a little more than participation
Or, I could go be on my own

Sure I would kiss you, I’ll lay with you
You’re broke, no, I can’t fix you
I won’t, no, I won’t diss you
But babe, yeah I might miss you
If you’re cold and needed shelter
I’d hold you, but not sweat ya
And know we’re not together
But babe, I won’t forget ya

What I need, what I need, what I need
Is for you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
What I need, what I need, what I need
Is to tell me that it’s yours, no naw nah
And who you do it for, no naw nah
Need you to be sure, no naw nah, no naw

Need you to be sure

Need you to be sure
When we’re all alone, girl you wanna own it
When we’re with your fam, you don’t wanna show it
Oh, you try to keep us on the low
I only want a girl who ain’t afraid to love me
Not a metaphor of what we really could be
Oh, I ain’t putting on a show
Sure I would kiss you, I’ll lay with you
You’re broke, no, I can’t fix you
I won’t, no, I won’t diss you
But babe, yeah I might miss you
If you’re cold and needed shelter
I’d hold you, but not sweat ya
And know we’re not together
But babe, I won’t forget ya

What I need, what I need, what I need
Is for you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
What I need, what I need, what I need
Is to tell me that it’s yours, no naw nah
And who you do it for, no naw nah
Need you to be sure, no naw nah, no naw

Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure

We could be bigger and brighter than space
Ain’t no running away, no
Real loving is sure
The way that I love, there’s no taking my place
Staring you right in your face
No, don’t look away no more
I would kiss you, I’ll lay with you
You’re broke, no, I can’t fix you
I won’t, no, I won’t diss you
But babe, yeah I might miss you
If you’re cold and needed shelter
I’d hold you, but not sweat ya
And know we’re not together
But babe, I won’t forget ya

What I need, what I need, what I need
Is for you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
For you to be sure, no naw nah
What I need, what I need, what I need
Is to tell me that it’s yours, no naw nah
And who you do it for, no naw nah

Need you to be sure, no naw nah, no naw
Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure
Need you to be sure
