In this video, you'll see the most popular songs throughout each month in the 70s. The tunes selected for this video are the ones that reached #1 or at least ranked higher in more countries than other hits in the same month, but it's not very accurate since many of them were number one for different periods, and I didn't want to repeat any song.

🎧 Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playl....ist/6MBuRMiIO1wgaMlc

After reading hundreds of comments trying to guess the country, I must say: It's not about the US or the UK. It's a mix of many countries and none in particular.

The Keith Sweat channel is the official YouTube home of multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter, and producer Keith Sweat. While signed to Elektra Records in the 1980s and 1990s, Keith Sweat helped define the New Jack Swing sound with a string of irresistible hits like “Twisted”, “Make It Last Forever”, “Make You Sweat”, “I’ll Give All My Love To You,” “Keep It Comin’” and “Nobody,” a platinum single that features singer Athena Cage. Sweat also discovered the Atlanta-based vocal quintet Silk, for whom he co-wrote and co-produced “Freak Me,” which hit #1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” in May 1993.

A remarkably prolific artist, Sweat has released more than 15 albums over the course of his career – 6 of which were awarded platinum status by the RIAA. Since 2007, Sweat has hosted ‘The Sweat Hotel,’ a nighttime show on iHeart radio that blends a grown & sexy R&B playlist with relationship advice from Sweat himself.

And when he’s not on the air, he’s on the road. Sweat continues to perform his music live for fans across the United States week in and week out. Visit http://www.ticketmaster.com/ke....ith-sweat-tickets/ar to find a date near you.

The a-ha channel is the official YouTube home of the Norwegian Pop trio a-ha, who achieved global stardom in 1985 when their debut single, “Take On Me” from the album ‘Hunting High And Low’ topped the charts in 36 different countries on its way to becoming one of the best-selling singles of all time, and the 5th most streamed song of the 20th century. a-ha struck chart gold again with “The Sun Always Shines On T.V.” and “Cry Wolf,” and recorded the theme to the 1987 James Bond film “The Living Daylights”. The a-ha YouTube channel is proud to host the music videos from these hits alongside live performance videos, lyric videos, and the solo work of band members Morten Harket (lead vocals), Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (Guitar), and Magne Furuholmen (Keyboards).

A deep dive into the history, influence, and music of the groundbreaking punk rock band, The Sex Pistols. Although their initial career lasted just two and a half years, they were one of the most important acts in the history of popular music and pop culture. Their fashion and hairstyles were a significant influence on punk image, and they are often associated with anarchism within music.

Included clips and performances of songs; Submission, No Fun, Pretty Vacant, Anarchy in the U.K., God Save the Queen, Problems, No Feelings, Bodies, Holidays in the Sun

The Sex Pistols were an English punk rock band formed in London in 1975. They were responsible for initiating the punk movement in the United Kingdom and inspiring many later punk and alternative rock musicians.
The Sex Pistols originally comprised vocalist Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock; Matlock was replaced by Sid Vicious in early 1977. Under the management of Malcolm McLaren, the band attracted some controversies that both captivated and appalled Britain. Through an obscenity-laced television interview in December 1976 and their May 1977 single "God Save the Queen", the latter of which attacked Britons' social conformity and deference to the Crown, calling the monarchy a "fascist regime". The release of the song popularised punk rock in the UK.

The Sex Pistols' only album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols (1977) — a UK number one — is a staple record of punk rock. In January 1978, at the end of their turbulent tour of the US, Rotten announced the band's break-up. Over the next few months, the three remaining members recorded songs for McLaren's film of the Sex Pistols' story, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle.

The Sex Pistols have been recognized as an influential band. In 2004, Rolling Stone placed them No. 58 on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". On 24 February 2006, the Sex Pistols—, also directly inspired the style, and often the formation itself, of many punk and post-punk bands during their first two-and-a-half-year run. The Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Adverts, Vic Godard of Subway Sect, and Ari Up of the Slits are among those in London's "inner circle" of early punk bands that credit the Pistols.

Among the many musicians of a later time who have acknowledged their debt to the Pistols are members of the Jesus and Mary Chain, NOFX, The Stone Roses, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Green Day, and Oasis. Tim Mohr links Western radio airplay of the Sex Pistols as helping create the whole East German punk movement. Calling the band "immensely influential", a London College of Music study guide notes that "many styles of popular music, such as grunge, indie, thrash metal and even rap owe their foundations to the legacy of groundbreaking punk bands—of which the Sex Pistols was the most prominent."
