[Chorus]
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo

[Verse 1]
I know I can't control it
A little voice in my head
A voice that's telling me to
(Do what you want)
Temperature elevated
The air is suffocating
I'm going out where I can
(Do what you want)

[Pre-Chorus]
It feels better when you
It feels better when you
It feels better when you
(Do what you want)
It feels better when you
It feels better when you
No need to ask again
(Do what you want)

[Chorus]
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo)

[Verse 2]
I'm feeling technicolor
Oh, go on, have another
My mama said I oughta
(Do what you want)
My ego dominating
A fear to medicate it
It isn't complicated
(Do what you want, oh)

[Chorus]
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo)
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want

[Verse 3]
I'm not the [?]
The biggest [?] around here
I gotta fever
Delirious to power
A world of dominoes
They fall where others push you
A string of broken hearts
Is all I really need
Tick, clicky time bomb
Nothing can't stop it
And the only thing that kill me
When you tell me how you feel about it

[Chorus]
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do what you want)
(Do-do, yo-yo, want-want, yo-yo)
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want, do what you want
Do what you want

Gang Starr - Code Of The Streets [Video] Hotney 6 Streams • 3 years ago

From 1994 Album: "Hard To Earn"...[Artist info below].....

The group was founded in 1986 by Guru (then known as Keithy E. The Guru) and DJ 1,2 B-Down (also known as Mike Dee) with various producers, such as Donald D, J.V. Johnson or DJ Mark the 45 King helping out. In 1987 and 1988, Gang Starr released three 12" vinyl singles on the Wild Pitch label.

In 1989, the group split and the only member willing to continue under the name Gang Starr was Guru. He soon got in touch with DJ Premier (then known as Waxmaster C) who sent him a beat tape which Guru liked. He invited DJ Premier to join Gang Starr and in that same year they released their first single "Words I Manifest" along with the album "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (1989).

During their career Gang Starr helped pioneer the New York hip hop sound, and in fact, many an artist who achieved greater notoriety owes much of their sound, lyrical style, and even content to Gang Starr. The entirety of Gang Starr's catalog, especially Step in the Arena (1990), Daily Operation (1992) "Hard to Earn" (1994) and Moment of Truth (1998) are well-respected among critics. Their track "Jazz Thing", featured on the soundtrack to Spike Lee's film Mo' Better Blues, helped establish the sound of jazz rap.

Both members of Gang Starr have deep roots in the New York hip hop scene, despite hailing from Boston, Massachusetts (Guru) and Houston, Texas (DJ Premier), and have each worked with countless artists.

The Gang Starr Foundation was a loose collective of various people who have worked closely with the group, through either Guru's now defunct Ill Kid label, DJ Premier's production work or the management company that Gang Starr was represented by, Empire Management. The founding member was Vikar.

It is undetermined if the group actually broke up or not. However, on September 1, 2005, Guru has revealed in an interview with the hip hop online magazine sohh.com that the group doesn't exist anymore, but that it has ended instead of breaking up. This has finally cleared up the rumors that came up first on the European Gang Starr tour in 2003/2004 when DJ Premier suddenly went back to the US and Guru continued touring under the group's name with another DJ. However, in a December 21, 2005 interview with the online magazine allhiphop.com, DJ Premier has denied that Gang Starr is history; he said it's rather a long break than a real break up. In a more recent interview from April 20, 2006, with the online magazine hoodstars.net, Guru has stated he would not work with his previous partners anymore. In a newer interview he stated that Gang Starr has reached the peak and that he is out of the project. To add even more to the confusion, DJ Premier said in a November 21, 2006 interview with the XXL Online Magazine "If I confirm it, then its official. If I dont confirm it, then we still together." On September 21, 2007, he also told Red Bull Music Academy; "If Guru wants to do it Im down, its really up to him. Hes the one that said we should pause for a minute and if thats how he feels fine by me. If he calls me tomorrow and says Im ready to start, Im ready."

Lyrics:

[Chorus]
Rakeem: I got too many ladies, I got to learn to say no
Woman: Ohh, We Love You Rakeem
Rakeem: I got too many ladies, yo, I got to learn to say no
Woman: Ohh, We Love You Rakeem, Ohh Rakeem

[Verse 1]
Time is moving slow, life is a drag
This money to make ya, more girls to bag
Fully aware, so I step upon the square
Lookin for what? The cooty and the chair
Flex and I flex on the opposite sex
Hit 'em off quick and step to the next
It seems I'm a fiend for a sex routine
Love to hear them scream
(Woman: Ohh Rakeem)
And my response is "Oh"
Always satisfy them, you know how I flow
But since I'm not lazy, I'm buck wild and crazy
I kiss the bosoms, but never eat the daisies
And my ladies love me deeply
Because I'm handsome, charming and freaky
And when they need me, they won't go
And now I'm stuck, I should've said no

Chorus 2:
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: And I love you to
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: Thank you
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: Your far too kind
Woman: Ohh Rakeem
Rakeem: Gosh
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: You feeling mutual love
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: Oh do you?
Woman: Ohh we love you Rakeem
Rakeem: Hmmmmm
Woman: Ohh Rakeem

[Verse 2]
When I walk down the block
The girls stop and clock
They hop on my jock, cause I got mad props
Tall & slim with the brown skin conflection
Half them sweating my love and affection
As I collect them, I must want to protect them
Love them deeply, but never disrespect them
I keep a tab on the large amount
But sometimes I find myself losing count
Of Latika, Diane, Lisa
Stephanie, Jackie, Teresa
Sharonda, um um, Veronica
Latasha, Sinthia & Monica
Nevertheless, you must give respect
To the femine queens that the God selects
I love them all, but even though
I'm rather happy, I should've said no
But yet my ego gets in the way
And always something that I'll never say
I'd just bag them, keep 'em under my wing
Put them in a posse, and let them all sing

Chorus 2(Rakeem saying these lines instead)
Do you?
Say it again baby
Yes I like it
Come on you can say it louder
Cuz I love you all
Thank you
Rakeem Allah the greatest baby

Lyrics:

Doesn’t this guitar sound so good?
Mm, mm mm, so sweet

Living in this big blue world
With my head up in outer space
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
When I see trouble come my way
I’ll be making lemonade
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k

Hey little lady, I know you’re feeling crazy
All your other friends are busy making them babies
Been out in the real world, don’t like how it’s tasting
Let me change your mind with my little ol’ sayin’
2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate
Put some sugar in my water, cause we makin’ Minute Maid
Fuck all the hate, do a shimmy shake
Throw a middle finger up down the interstate

Living in this big blue world
With my head up in outer space
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
When I see trouble come my way
I’ll be making lemonade
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k

A-o a-o-k
A-o a-o-k

I be lyin’ if I said I knew the way
I just eat shit and pretend that it’s gourmet
I’ve had terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days
But Imma G, can’t you see, that I will always be uh-uh-uh a o k

Uh-uh-uh a-o-k, Imma be
Uh-uh-uh a-o-k, you gon be
Uh-uh-uh a-o-k, we gon be
Uh-uh-uh a-o-k, suga suga

Living in this big blue world
With my head up in outer space
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
When I see trouble come my way
I be making lemonade
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k
I know I’ll be a-o a-o-k

Na, na na na na na, a-o a-o-k
Na, na na na na na, a-o a-o-k
Na, na na na na na, a-o a-o-k
