Today’s feature was one of those groups that looking back really could’ve been huge. In the early 2000s they had everything. They had talent first of all, where their leader Beanie Sigel was one of the dopest natural rappers ever to touch a mic in his prime, one of the most unique artist of that time in Freeway, who had a voice and cadence although it may take some getting used to for some, you had to admit that he had bars and at least there was no one out or even prior that sounded like him. He and Beanie Sigel’s voice together on tracks is literally lyrical gold how well they fit together on songs like “What we do” or “Roc da Mic”. Two clear cut potential superstars who in hindsight failed to live up to that talent as rappers themselves. Peedi Crakk, former stunted growth music feature, was the Juelz Santana of State Property, one of the youngest in the group that had arguably the most potential. Young Chris in a traditional sense, was down the same lines as a Jay-z, coming from the streets with a cool persona, that skill wise was one of the best rappers signed to roc a fella period. His sub group mate Neef Buck was dope as well, and together they formed the young guns with their own separate expectations as roc a fella’s future that never happened. Oscino was another sub group rapper, teaming up with Omilio Sparks that was hand picked by Jay-z himself after rapping for him for over 2 hours. State Property could’ve been the biggest group in hip hop and the hottest thing to come out of Philly on the group side. State Property Could've Been The Biggest Group In Hip Hop! Draco Rosa's trajectory from '80s boy band star to enigmatic solo performer music fascinates me to no end. Behind the Desk, Rosa creates shimmering, electric guitar-driven ruminations on life and love.

After his tenure in Menudo and some solo success, Rosa went on to produce and co-write some of his former bandmate Ricky Martin's biggest pop hits, including "Livin' la Vida Loca," "She Bangs" and "The Cup of Life (La Copa de la Vida)." But it was in 1996 that Rosa released what I consider to be one of the best rock en Español albums of all time. Vagabundo spiritually hovers this Tiny Desk performance, culminating in an extended take on the title track's existential themes. Special mention must be made of Puerto Rican jazz trumpeter Charlie Sepulveda, who adds a late-career Miles Davis stamp to the song's climax.
