Falling In Reverse - "Losing My Life" Hotney 15 Streams • 2 years ago

"Losing My Life" by Falling In Reverse
Stream and download here: https://ffm.to/fir_losingmylife

Lyrics

(Skit)
“Do I know you?"
“Yes, you do”
“This seems so familiar”
“You’re in a dream”
“Who are you?"
“I am your reflection.... you’ve been asleep for a very long time “

(Verse)
I lay awake every night
Lookin’ back on my life
Will apologies to the people I love
For the things I’ve done
Really make it right?
I guess it might
just then I realized
My past is the reason I’m here right now
As a matter of fact I won’t apologize

You bitches always pissed
Cause I am constantly changin’
Think of how far that I've made it from my incarceration it’s amazin’ ain’t it?
But I’m in the zone
I’m a rolling-stone
I’m coming home
But I’m not alone
Do I really got to let another motherfucker know?

(Pre)
No I won’t,
Surrender x2
No I won’t
Let you bring me down

(Chorus)
So where the hell do I go from here?
Who do I believe when everyone
Feels so insincere?
(Like everyone’s out to get me)
Who will save my life?
How do I believe in anyone?
Please don’t mind me
I just kill myself sometimes.

(Skit)
Willow: uh daddy?
Ronnie: yes honey?
Willow: why did you go to jail?
Ronnie: uhhhhhhh

(Verse)
I’m a lot smarter than you think
Everything I did was planned
To get you to listen
To get your attention
so you post your opinion
And it gets me bigger

Are you triggered?

Haha... figures
Here’s the kicker with every trigger
I’m gettin’ richer from offended bitter little
Twitter bitches all up in my mentions
Lookin’ for attention cause they’re starved of it
You wanna call me king of the music scene?
I got news for you I’m the GOD OF IT
(Like the second comin’)
I respawn like I have a reset button
Hated more than trump is
Ronnie Radke’s back to rappin’
Actin' ratchet release the kraken
Delete your asses I’m not the rapture
I’m the mother-fuckin’ morning after

(Pre)

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
I need a miracle
I’m falling way too fast
I’m sinkin’ in too deep
I need an angel now
That’s watchin’ over me
If I could just wake up
If I could make you see
I’m all alone, all alone with your sickness in me

(Skit)
Willow: dad....dad.... DAD WAKE UP!
Ronnie: ahh fuck what the..
willow: you were having a bad dream
Ronnie: where am I? turn the fuckin music off. who the fuck are you?!
Willow: I’m your daughter
Ronnie: oh no no you’re too old to be my daughter. What year is it?
Willow: it’s 2033 dad, you’ve been asleep for a very long time

(Chorus)

Lyrics:
I
I got whole lotta problems
Tryna see em turn into dollars
So I’m here
I can see the money bring problems
Only when you came up from the bottom
Though I hear
Mama said as soon as they cross you
Even if you know they ain’t got you
I’m here
I just say the Rollie came flooded
Rolling with them niggas can’t trust
Oh I got
Racks
Whole lotta money
I ain’t never gotta worry bout it
Cause I got plaques
Whole lotta commas tryna
Be the one before the summer come
I got tracks into riding maybachs
Feel a way but where was they at
So why not stack
If it only take practice
Bankroll ain’t matching they
Captions I hear
We should go & make up
Even though I know it ain’t much
Still I’m here
I don’t wanna fake love
Even though I know it’s
Fake love all I feel
We should go & make up
Even though I know it ain’t much
Still im here
I don’t wanna fake love
Even though I know it’s fake love

Got whole lotta problems
Lotta niggas turn down the squabbles
So I’m here
Jealousy the money bring problems
45 right beside the wallet
Don’t try here
Mama said soon as they cross you
That’s when you know that god got you
I’m here
I’m just glad this 40 ain’t bussin
Walking with some steppas
That a touch you
I got
We should go & wake up
Tell them people we don’t give af
This my year
Even though it ain’t much
I’m the one went & spent a dub
On my ear

I just wanna wake up
I just wanna wake up
All I hear
I just wanna wake up
I just wanna wake up

I
I just wanna wake up
Find another way to run it up
So I’m here
Why they wanna break us
You ain’t seen where I
Came from no idea
I know money make blessings
You should know they ain’t stressing
I’m here
Since the Rollie came crusted
Order up the rolls Royce
Truck I’ll
Cry here

The Bernard Purdie Interview: Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin & "The Purdie Shuffle" Hotney 15 Streams • 4 years ago

Bernard Lee "Pretty" Purdie (born June 11, 1941) is an American drummer, and an influential R&B, soul and funk musician. He is known for his precise musical time keeping and his signature use of triplets against a half-time backbeat: the "Purdie Shuffle." Purdie is known as a groove drummer with immaculate timing who makes use of precision half note, backbeats, and grooves. He often employs a straight eight groove sometimes fusing several influences such as swing, blues and funk. He created the now well-known drum pattern Purdie Half-Time Shuffle that is a blues shuffle variation with the addition of syncopated ghost notes on the snare drum. Variations on this shuffle can be heard on songs such as Led Zeppelin's "Fool in the Rain" and Toto's "Rosanna" (Rosanna shuffle). Purdie plays the shuffle on Steely Dan's "Babylon Sisters" and "Home At Last".

LYRICS

What if I told you that I need you
Shadows underneath us
Aa-aa-aaa
And if I leave without a reason
would you crawl back to the deep end?
Aa-aa-aaa

I've seen it happen again and again and again
I never make amends
I only wish that you weren't my friend
so I could hurt you in the end

Ever since the day you came around
I'm a prisoner and there's nothing I can do
not a thing to get you out
You're the venom in my veins
You've got me howling in your chains

I get in fights without a reason
In trouble with my demons
Aa-aa-aaa
and I'm a punk throughout the seasons
I can't believe that you don't see it
Aa-aa-aaa

I've seen it happen again and again and again
I never make amends
I only wish that you weren't my friend
so I could hurt you in the end

Ever since the day you came around
I'm a prisoner and there's nothing I can do
not a thing to get you out
You're the venom in my veins
You've got me howling in your chains
You're my venom, venom, venom!

And since the day you came around
I'm a prisoner
and there's nothing I can do
not a thing to get you out

You're the venom in my veins!
The venom in my veins!
You're the venom in my veins
You've got me howling in your chains

You're the venom in my veins
The poison in my blood
The posion in my blood

The Return of Consequence: A Journey Through Music, Legacy, and Hip-Hop Culture | Full Episode Hotney 15 Streams • 2 years ago

00:12:01N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN are the Drink Champs. In this episode we chop it up with the legendary, Consequence!

Consequence talks about his journey, his legacy, and what’s next in the game. This wasn’t just a regular interview—it was a celebration of hip-hop history, hustle, and heart.

Drink Champs alumni, Consequence is back!

Consequence is running his own game now with his own record label, 192 Records, proving you don’t need a major label to make major moves. Partnering with Hitmaker for distribution, he’s showing the blueprint for artists who want control over their music and their money. He’s not just thinking about his own bag, though; he’s building a platform for the next generation to shine.

In this episode Consequence also shares Kanye stories, from their recent reunion in China. This reunion was particularly meaningful, as both share a storied history of collaborations and personal bonds. While recounting the experience, Consequence noted how their connection transcends professional ties; Kanye is also the godfather to his son. The trip wasn’t just about catching up—it was about reinforcing familial bonds and reigniting creative energy.

Consequence reflects on Fatherhood, shares stories of raising his son Caiden, who’s already stepping into the music game. Some people side-eye the idea of grooming a kid for the industry, but Cons keeps it 100: why not put him on game early? It’s about building generational talent and showing the world that hip-hop isn’t just about bars and beats; it’s a lifestyle you can grow into.

Consequence always reps Queens, and he gave flowers to A Tribe Called Quest, especially his late cousin Phife Dawg. Tribe’s Hall of Fame induction is a win not just for them but for the culture.

Cons isn’t just a rapper; he’s a storyteller, a mentor, and a cultural icon. From the streets of Queens to global stages, he’s carrying the torch for hip-hop while making sure the next wave of talent is ready to shine. With his independent grind, family focus, and love for the game, Consequence reminds us why he’s still one of the realest to ever do it.

Make some noise for Consequence!! 💐💐💐🏆🏆🏆

LYRICS:

Called to say hello
Your voice always takes the pain away
The thought is unimaginable
That I saw you for the last time and didn’t know

You were the one that I wasn’t supposed to lose
I thought I’d have you for a lifetime
Have you for my lifetime

Now I'm walkin ‘round in a haze
There’s no color only darker shades of grey
You showed me the way when I was lost and alone
But you never really showed me how to let you go

You were the one that I wasn’t supposed to lose
I thought I’d have you for my lifetime
Have you for a lifetime
Who do I talk to when I wanna talk to you?
I thought I’d have you you for a lifetime
Have you for a lifetime

Never again
Never again will I look into the only eyes that knew me
Feels like a bullet right through me
Never again
Never again will I look into the only eyes that knew me

You were the one that I wasn’t supposed to lose
I thought I’d have you for a lifetime
Have you for a lifetime

You were the one that I wasn’t supposed to lose
I thought I’d have you for a lifetime
Have you for a lifetime
