Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) is a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg in 1973 by Randy Bachman, formerly of The Guess Who. Joined by his brothers Robbie and Tim, along with Fred Turner, the band combined driving rhythms and hard rock riffs with infectious melodies. Their breakthrough came with their second album, “Bachman-Turner Overdrive II” (1973), featuring hits like “Let It Ride” and the anthemic “Takin’ Care of Business.” The follow-up album, “Not Fragile” (1974), propelled them to international stardom with the massive hit “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” which topped the charts in multiple countries. Known for their blue-collar appeal and relentless touring, BTO became one of the biggest rock bands of the 1970s, selling millions of records. Internal conflicts led to lineup changes in the late 1970s, and while their commercial peak ended, their music remains a staple of classic rock radio.
