Mick Mars might be one of the greatest 80’s heavy metal guitarists of all time. He’s in no small part credited for pioneering the hard rock and metal sounds of LA. And believe it or not, Mick was inspired at the age of three to take up guitar by the country music singer Skeeter Bonn.

From that early exposure to music, Mick Mars defined his life with his musical skills until he ultimately helped found the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. But it hasn’t always been good times for the guitarist. From a crippling spinal disorder to substance abuse problems, Mars has faced more than his fair share of life challenges. Let’s take a look at the untold truth of Mötley Crüe’s Mick Mars.

Her mum used to send her to music lessons to keep her off the streets. It was a wise move, the streets just happened to be in New York's notorious Hell's Kitchen. So in a way, music saved her from the gangs and maybe even a life of crime. That little girl grew up to be Alicia Keys, the Princess of Soul. A singer, songwriter, actress, philanthropist - she's sold 24 million albums, won 11 Grammys and countless other awards. She's also attractive, fun, charming and just 27 years old. But there's a bit more to Alicia Keys, a darker side. As Liam Bartlett discovered, this sparkling star has burnt out more than once.

On September 4, 1996; 2Pac and Nas had a well known altercation that has never been brought to life until now. In this video I put together what actually took place that night at the MTV Video Music Awards. From countless interviews and articles. The timelines were placed close to what I researched from all parties involved. To complete the story I had to place in some assumptions from history, and previous interviews from both parties. 2pac was upset to find out that Nas was dissing him along with Mobb Deep at their shows, even though he ran into Nas at the House Of Blues some months prior; and it was all love. Nas was close to Mobb Deep who 2Pac dissed, and also got word that 2pac made some diss records directed at him. They both came face to face at the MTV Awards after party in New York. Hope you like the video. Thank you!

Drill music goes all the way back to 2011 when artists like Lil Durk and Chief Keef were first getting started. As the years went on Chicago ended up pioneering a lot of trends, nobody had ever heard of smoking dead opps until Chief Keef said he was smoking Tooka but after Chicago popularized the term the world ran with too the point where 10 years later songs like "Who I Smoke" were being made in places like Florida. Chicago was also the first time major gang wars were broadcasted like O'Block vs. Tookaville, Lamron vs Jojoworld, 300 vs 051, and 600 vs 051. Alongside Keef and Durk rappers like L'A Capone, RondoNumba9, G Herbo, Lil Bibby, and Young Pappy also blew up on the Drill scene and Drill took over the world inspiring UK Drill and later NY Drill.

The Authority On All Things R&B !
This week on The R&B Money Podcast get a glimpse into the life of Prolific Super-producer Harmony Samuels. Born with the rhythm of the universe pulsing through his Veins. He'll take us through his upbringing in England under strict parents, the celestial moment he realized his destiny as a composer, and his instinctual mastery of multiple instruments. Harmony also recounts flying 6 hours to LA for a mere 6 minutes with a music executive, feeling disrespected and fronted on — until that full circle moment when he was finally face to face with him under different circumstances; it's a reminder that in this universe, amnesia is a common affliction among mortal suits. Marvel at the stroke of brilliance that fostered his silent plot, drove him to ultimate success and augmented his Hitlist. From Maroon Five to Chris Brown to Ariana Grande, there are simply Too many W's to count, not to mention his own Tequila Brand in tow. From an early age, Mya had it. She could dance, she could sing and it didn’t hurt that she was also easy on the eyes. Even though she’d end up launching her music career during a time period where she’d be competing with numerous other R&B divas, Mya still stood out and held her own. Her journey though wasn’t without its trials and tribulations from her battle with schoolyard bullies to her record company’s shady tactics to rumors about her bedroom escapades with various men in the industry. Through it all, Mya chose to stay the course, fight for what she wanted and be true to herself.

Drag 0n was a young 17 year old that came around the same underground scenes DMX would battle at, and one day he’s placed in the ring to battle none other than DMX. According to Drag, the two battle for about an hour with DMX winning every round. But, that day a respect was shown to Drag on for having the stamina and rhymes to take it their with a phenom like DMX by everyone in the room, especially DMX, who saw much of himself in Drag on, and because DMX was so hot at the time, anything he said was pretty much how things went. Drag on was signed in 97 and placed under the wing of DMX as his protege. He was like X’s little brother. He dropped a certified gold album on his debut, but from things things within the industry went down hill.

The DeBarge Family were undoubtedly one of the 80's most influential pop groups. Their sound, style and voices were like no other. But from the moment they arrived in the industry, their lives were plagued by drug addiction and crime.
Their past with a father who was abusive to them and their mother, caused this group to spiral out of control; not being able to stop the torment they endured from the skeletons they kept in their closets.
In this video, we examine the life of the musical group DeBarge.

After not releasing an album since 2019, P!nk is back to share obstacles overcome and lesson learned with her ninth studio album, 'TRUSTFALL'.

P!nk sits down with Zane Lowe to unpack the specific hardships and pivotal moments that inspired songs like “When I Get There”, which was recorded just in time for her dad to hear it before he passed away. P!nk also shares how excited she is to get back on stage, or at least to fly above it, to take this album on tour.

Rihanna Answers 15 Questions From A$AP Rocky | Vogue

This unique critical review of a classic pop album features superb performance footage from their sensational 1980 Rockpalast-Nacht show in Germany. It also includes an all-new interview with original guitarist Henry Padovani, in which he gives a candid appraisal of the album and the band.

Reggatta de Blanc is the second studio album by British rock band the Police, released on 2 October 1979 by A&M Records. It was the band's first release to top the UK Albums Chart and features their first two UK number-one singles: "Message in a Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon". In early 1980, the album was reissued in the United States on two 10" discs, one album side per disc, and as a collector's edition with a poster of the band.

The music features the Police's distinctive appropriation of reggae and frontman Sting's Caribbean vocal inflections. The album's title loosely translates in French to "White Reggae". It was the band's second album to bear a Franglais title, after their 1978 debut album Outlandos d'Amour. Reggatta de Blanc proved more popular and successful than its predecessor. The title track earned the band its first Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

Reggatta de Blanc continued to build on the success of Outlandos d'Amour, hitting number one on the British, Australian, and Dutch album charts upon its release in October 1979. "Message in a Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon" were released as singles and both reached number one in the UK, the band's first singles to do so. According to rock journalist Tim Peacock, with its success, the album transformed the Police "into one of the post-punk era's defining bands".

The album was met with positive reviews from magazines such as Smash Hits, People, and Rolling Stone. Writing for the latter in December 1979, Debra Rae Cohen said that objections to the band's stylistic appropriations of new wave and reggae are "rendered moot by the sheer energy of the band's rhythmic counter-punching". In The Village Voice's year-end Pazz & Jop poll of American critics nationwide, Reggatta de Blanc was voted the 35th best album of 1979. Robert Christgau, the poll's creator and the Voice's chief critic, was lukewarm about the album in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies (1981): "The idea is to fuse Sting's ringing rock voice and the trio's aggressive, hard-edged rock attack with a less eccentric version of reggae's groove and a saner version of reggae's mix. To me the result sounds half-assed. And though I suppose I might find the 'synthesis' innovative if I heard as much reggae as they do in England, it's more likely I'd find it infuriating." In 1981, the album's title track earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. In a retrospective review for AllMusic, Greg Prato said that the band's intense touring schedule leading up to the album had made their unique reggae rock fusion sharper, leading to a work that was "much more polished production-wise and fully developed from a songwriting standpoint", but also "more sedate" than their first album.

Reggatta de Blanc has appeared frequently on professional listings of the greatest albums. In 2003, Rolling Stone ranked the record at number 369 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time; on an updated version of the list published in 2012, it placed at number 372. In 2006, it was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. In 2014, Spin cited it as one of the major moments in the history of white reggae. Based on such rankings, the aggregate website Acclaimed Music lists Reggatta de Blanc as the 418th-most acclaimed album in history. In an interview with Modern Drummer, Stewart Copeland named it his favorite Police album.
