G-Unit was a rap group that was started in the early 2000s. The group was made up of 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck. The group was successful and their debut album sold over 3.9 million units in the US. However, the group had some beef with other rappers which led to Young Buck being kicked out of the group. The group also had a long-standing feud with The Game, which began in 2005. However, by 2016, the two sides had finally decided to end their feud.

LYRICS:
Yeah we’re only human
But that don’t mean that we can’t change
I can hurt you
You can hurt me
But we feel each other’s pain
And that’s what makes us human
That I can break you’re heart in two
And still love you
Through all the days we’ve
Been gettin’ through
For both our sake
Let’s put love back in it’s place
I won’t give up on you
So darlin’ don’t give up on me
Don’t you wanna stay
Don’t just walk away
From our memories
And I can’t promise nothing
But the rest of me
I’ll fight for you
I’ll fight for us
I’ll fight to
Never leave
And life don’t make it easy
But you’re the reason my heart beats
You swore you’d never leave me
So I’ve been thinking it’d be easy
To get down on one knee
For both our sake
Let’s put love back in it’s place
I won’t give up on you
So darlin’ don’t give up on me
Don’t you wanna stay
Don’t just walk away
From our memories
And I can’t promise nothing
But the rest of me
I’ll fight for you
I’ll fight for us
I’ll fight to
Never leave
I promise not to let you fall
I said that I would give my all
And you know that won’t change
Yeah it will always be the same
I won’t give up on you
So darlin’ don’t give up on me
Don’t you wanna stay
Don’t just walk away
From the memories
And I can’t promise nothing
But the rest of me
I’ll fight for you
I’ll fight for us
I’ll fight to
Never leave
Never Leave
Never Leave
Never Leave
Never Leave
Establishing himself as one of music’s most exciting new voices, Bailey Zimmerman strikes a sweet spot between timeless American country, rafter-rattling arena rock, and authentic storytelling. It’s why in just one year’s time, he’s already logged over 400 million global streams, notched two entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and immediately sold out his first headline tour. Growing up in the small town of Louisville, IL, Zimmerman embraced country music on long-haul truck rides with his dad, and 80’s hair rock at home with his mom. By the time he hit high school, Zimmerman learned old school American values of hard work and dependability through a gig at the local meat market and long hours on a union gas pipeline. Simultaneously, he discovered his natural musical talent and began to sing whenever there was a guitar nearby. After a garage-recorded demo of his song “Never Comin’ Home” amassed over a million plays overnight, he turned in his union card to fulfill a growing demand for new music. Zimmerman fueled his meteoric rise with anthemic singles including, “Fall In Love”, “Rock and A Hard Place”, and “Where It Ends”. Now, this young artist with the rasp of a seasoned rocker and the heart of a sensitive songwriter has arrived at the cusp of superstardom as he readies his forthcoming debut for Warner Music Nashville/Elektra Records.

The Authority On All Things R&B !
On this week's episode of The R&B Money Podcast, Tank and J Valentine welcome the incomparable Stokley. They celebrate the renowned Sanger, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist. We will delve into Stokley's upbringing in St. Paul, Minnesota, his education at Central High School, and his straying away from the pack by forming his Band Mint Condition. Stokley's love for music began at a young age, and he eventually became a master of the drums after finding his father's congas. His parents who were both educators embraced his musical ability and before long they signed with the incomparable Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who gave them full reign of the creation of their first album. "Pretty Brown Eyes" one of the most instrumental R&B Jams of all time, was actually on their demo tape. Listen and Enjoy! Stokley on The R&B Money Podcast

From our 2018 conversation with Nipsey Hussle :
Hard Knock Tv's Nick Huff Barili sits down with Nipsey Hussle for in-depth conversation. Interview starts with Nipsey painting the picture of what his childhood was like growing up in Crenshaw. As the interview continues, Nipsey breaks down some of the stories that inspired his debut studio album Victory Lap including one of his brother burying 200k in the back yard only to have most of the money destroyed by mildew. Nipsey shares the grind that it took to this point and what its like to look back at where he came from, some of which he talks about on Blue Laces 2. A track that Lebron James premiered a snippet of on his Instagram. Nipsey talks about how athletes like Lebron and Isaiah Thomas get inspired by his music as he does from watching them play. Kendrick Lamar and Nip paid their dues to get to where they are. Nick reminded Nipsey that the first time Hard Knock interviewed him back in 2005 Kdot, Jay Rock, and Top walked passed in the background.
Nipsey gives advice to young artists sharing that its important to study your craft and own your masters. Nipsey breaks down keys to building wealth and how Rick Ross and Puff Daddy laid out blueprints for building an empire.
As the conversation turns to Nip's new album, he breaks down new track Hussle and Motivate that he calls quintessential Nip. Nipsey and Nick talk about FDT and how radio stations and djs haven't supported the track as much as they should considering the community outcry. Nipsey also talks about unifying Black and Brown on the track and standing up for Mexicans. Nick points out that the bringing together of Black and Brown communities through music has been missing for a while and how it reminds him of how Tupac would do that. Nipsey goes on to talk about how Tech and Hip Hop are alike and how artists need to start getting ownership in the tech companies they help get fans to because that is part of the valuation of the companies. A conversation with the founder of Tinder helped Nip better understand how a lot of tech companies get their valuation as companies. Nipsey points to what Dr Dre brought to the table with Beats and Apple Music as an example of artists recognizing the power of their influence. The conversation ends with Nipsey talking about Meek Mill going back to jail for violating parole terms and talks about being on parole himself and how the system needs reform.

British Gambian artist Pa Salieu first emerged on the scene when he released his debut single ‘Frontline’ in January 2020. The song quickly went viral and became the most played track of 2020 on BBC 1Xtra. Then, in February, only two months into his new found fame, Pa was shot in the head in Coventry City Centre, luckily he survived despite having to remove 19 pieces of bullet from his skull.
Pa hasn’t let the ordeal stop him. He’s released a debut mixtape to huge critical acclaim, and collaborated with unusual but exciting choices like FKA Twigs, Mahalia, Slowthai and Yusseff Dayes.
NOISEY meets Pa to talk about growing up in Coventry and what the future holds for one of the UK’s most exciting artists.

As a founding member of group 67, LD is an originator of UK Drill. Now, after a stint in prison, LD is back and determined to take his place as the father of the scene.
Hailing from Brixton Hill in South London, LD began to achieve commercial success in 2015, with sold-out tours and millions of views on Youtube. He became in part notorious for his iconic silver mask and went on to release music as a solo artist.
In 2019, LD was arrested on drug charges and was given a 4 and a half year sentence, putting a temporary stop to his music career.
After serving 2.5 years in prison, the man in the mask is back in the game.
In this episode of Noisey Raps, we follow LD as he is released from prison, recording his first track and music video out.

British Gambian artist Sona Jobarteh plays the kora, a string instrument that has been the preserve of men since the 13th century, passed down from father to son in a special set of families in West Africa for hundreds of years. That was until she decided to change things. After picking up the kora at the tender age of three, Sona has been playing for audiences across Europe, Africa and the United States since her 2011 album "Fasiya". She gained international success following her 2015 song "Gambia", which was released to celebrate Gambian independence. It became country’s unofficial national anthem with 24 million views on YouTube. The musician is in Paris to perform in the Afrocolor Festival.

The Brooklyn duo consisting of DJ/producer PF Cuttin' and rapper Outloud first formed their alliance in 1985. Choosing a patient, indirect path rather than the fast track, the duo worked behind the scenes for ten years producing tracks for artists such as Masta Ace and Craig G. Their big breakthrough came in late 1995 with "Danger," a song that unexpectedly turned into a volcanic crossover hit. The song was spurred on by a catchy sample from Jeru Da Damaja's "Come Clean": "When the east is in the house/Oh My God." "Danger" brought the house down for many a month, proudly waving the flag of East Coast bravado in a time of dissension between coastal schools. Raising the bar of expectation extremely high for themselves, Blahzay's debut album, Blah, Blah, Blah, dropped in August of 1996. PF Cuttin's polished production earmarked the album with a distinctly clean-crafted sound that rivaled such established beat sculptors as Pete Rock and Premier. PF's beats were met squarely by the aggressive lyrical style of Outloud making for a potent combination. The album produced a couple more hits on the underground circuit including the stunners "Pain I Feel," "Good Cop/Bad Cop," and "Danger, Pt. 2" which included guest MCs LA the Darkman, Smoothe Da Hustler, and Trigga Tha Gambla. After their remarkably dynamic debut, the duo went back to their reclusive ways with PF making some noise on remixes and other production ventures. Blahzay finally reappeared briefly in 1999 with a three track maxi single entitled Federal Reserve Notez.

Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, and Vince Clarke were young kids from the small town of Basildon, England before becoming the band known today as Depeche Mode. Their fifteenth studio album, ‘Memento Mori’, reminds listeners that everything ends...but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Ahead of the album's release, Depeche Mode sits down with Zane Lowe to reflect on their journey from kids to music legends. The two share that with the help of Daniel Miller from Mute Records, they were able to become one of the most influential bands to arise from the 80s. They also share that this new album will be supported by a world tour, trekking across 75 countries.

Lamont Coleman was born in Harlem USA, where he spent his entire brief life. The youngest of 3 boys that were brought up by a single mother in the 80s and 90s. It was a constant struggle balancing the temptations of the streets of New York in those times and the passion for rapping he’d fall in love with at 12 years old. He was given many nick names at the time, but the one he couldn’t stand was being called little L. Already the smallest in his group he didn’t want to be seen as that in the streets, so he went with Big L and the name became legendary. He Got caught up one too many times in the streets and it ended his promising life. By all accounts he was supposed to have been one of the biggest rappers of his generation and heir to the throne of New York MCs when Biggie Smalls Died. He introduced Jay-z to the radio world and the streets chose him to contend. He had Nas in complete fear, shaking in his boots thinking how could he compete. Everyone in one way or another believed in him unfortunately for these reasons things didn’t work out. Here are 3 reasons Big L’s Growth Was Stunted. R.I.P Big L. OUT NOW!!🎥 🎤 🎼 🔥

Today’s feature is a 90s west coast rap group that is considered one of the best of all time, mainly due to each of their individual success because unfortunately they didn’t last a very long time together, as by 2005 the group officially disbanded after 2 albums 7 years apart. They never got to reconcile and still harbor mixed feelings about each other today, at least Ice Cube and Mack 10. Westside connection were supposed to be the revival of the west coast group and west coast rap in general amidst the west coast east coast rivalry that would take two of the best rappers of all time from hip hop. It was an interesting group of band mates, having a neighborhood crip in WC, with a Queen street blood in Mack 10. Can’t forget the face of the group Ice Cube playing right down the middle and not claiming any of the sets popular in the 90s. With Death Row records struggling after losing Tupac to low sales and the recent departure of super producer and artist Dr Dre, Westside connection stepped right in a filled that void in rap for a hard, gangsta, west coast super group. By 2022 when asked about Ice Cube, Mack 10 let it be known they haven’t spoken to each other in almost 20 years. They had the potential to be the best West coast rap group, instead for these reasons the connection was lost. DISCONNECTED: What Really Happened To Westside Connection Stunted Growth Music
