How Shanice Went From The Top of The Charts To Homeless...& Bounced Back! Hotney 2 Streams • 4 years ago

Shanice Lorraine Wilson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and relocated to Los Angeles, California with her mother and aunt at the age of 8. If you think they moved for Shanice’s sake, you’d be wrong. The main reason was their desire to pursue a career of their own in the music industry. However, as Shanice started soaking up the L.A. atmosphere, she decided that she did want to sing as well. She’d already exhibited superior vocal talent at just 7 months, from her crib, humming melodies. As a toddler, her mother and aunt then brought her on stages around Pittsburgh to accompany them. Shanice’s mother and aunt decided their efforts would be best spent shifting their focus to her and formed a management company to cultivate and promote her talents. In addition to her family members, Shanice grew up being influenced by the likes of Chaka Khan, The Emotions, The Clark Sisters, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Vanity | Prince, Drug Addiction & Dedicating Her Life To God Hotney 2 Streams • 4 years ago

Canadian singer, songwriter, dancer, model, and actress Denise Katrina Matthews, professionally known as Vanity was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario on January 4, 1959. She was always interested in pursuing a career in singing and acting however, she was constantly discouraged to do so by those around her. That is until Prince came along. Vanilla Ice | Haters, Lies About His Childhood, Drugs, Did Suge Knight Really Threaten His Life? Hotney 2 Streams • 4 years ago

His story really does sound like a classic case of overnight success. One day, Vanilla Ice was a regular local nightclub performer and the next he had a number 1 album, an army of devoted fans and could buy anything he wanted with his new found wealth. He also had a lot of critics accusing him of everything from lying about his background to ripping off a genre of music that didn’t belong to people who look like him. The hate got so bad that it even drove him to wanting to end it all. Then, after the lights dimmed on his career, he was forced to create a new life and figure out who he was without the fame.
