lyrics -
feels pointless
to say it
feels stupid
tryin to relay it
the message is lost
the moment it touches my tongue
means nothing
it all feels so numb
one hit wonder
catch me in my eye
don’t stop
when you see me cryin
it makes you happy
it makes you happy
it makes me happy
to see it’s what they like
i can’t try
this hard anymore
means nothin
it’s all just a chore
one hit wonder
catch me in my eye
don’t stop
when you see me cryin
it makes you happy
it makes you happy
makes me happy
to see it’s what they like

That's a fact, know that, yes indeedy (Get 'em CiCi!)

Lyrics:
I fell in love with impossible
I shook hands with a man named intangible
Left a trail in the sand let ‘em know that I’ve been here
I caught a glimpse of the invisible
I threw stones at invincible
It didn’t hurt
I never said that it would work

And if I fall doesn’t mean that I failed to fly
Failure was only a fail to try
I put heaven in my right hand
It’s too expensive in the sky

So what do you believe in?
It’s never easy to hold on when your faith is gone
Hard times ain’t leavin’ (Oh woah)
So what do you believe in? (Ooh)
All I need in this world (This world)
All I need in this world (This world)
It get’s hard but I’m breathin'
So what do you believe in? (Oh woah)

I asked for answers at the bottom of a bag
I was lost I didn’t mean to make you sad
Know when push comes to shovel I was seein’ double
And life turned to rubble in a flash

Every mistake that I made was a friend of mine
Taught me to come back a hundred times
Every hill I didn’t die on is a mountain that I climbed

So what do you believe in?
It’s never easy to hold on when your faith is gone
Hard times ain’t leavin’ (Oh woah)
What do you believe in? (Oh)
All I need in this world (This world)
All I need in this world (This world)
May get hard but I’m breathin’
So what do you believe in? (Oh woah)

I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe in loveI believe in love

So what do you believe in?
It’s never easy to hold on when your faith is gone
Hard times ain’t leavin
What do you believe in?

Lyrics:
It’s ten years since we met
Just nineteen when you saw me
Black t-shirt half on fire
I was alive when you were mine

Staying up three hours past twelve
Yeah, you’re always coming over
Fries from the diner downstairs
Fluorescent lights and you were mine

And it was awful
Hurt me so bad,
We were monsters
Strangers in an empty night

Can I be honest?
Push it all down, but I want you
C’mon honey break my heart -
I could run forever but I won’t get far

Sidewalks in the summer heat
Don’t make a big thing about it
Forever comes fast and heavy
And I lost the ring somewhere in Georgia

And it was awful -
Screaming your name underwater
C’mon baby, where’s the fire?

Can I be honest?
How could I hide that I want you
Tell me how’d you get so far?
You’re always breaking my heart

Tell me to let go
I wanna surrender
Stare at me so hard I can’t breathe
Face of an angel
You’re just like heaven
I die a little just to be let in
Stare at me so hard I can’t breathe
Cold as a stranger,
You’re just like heaven
I die a little just to be let in
What were you thinking back when you met me?
I die a little just to be let in

Lyrics:
You’re so convincing dressed up in sheep’s clothing but I’ve seen you naked
Wish I would listen to signs sent from heaven ‘cause I need the savin
Your lips are so damn addicting
And there’s so many reasons why I need to quit them
You’re so convincing dressed up in sheep’s clothing but I’ve seen you naked

You break my heart a little harder every time
I’m tired of lying to myself pretending I’m fine

How many times can I sell you my soul
To fill up this hole in my chest
Reaching for someone to take what I’ve got
Til I ain’t got nothing left
Well I know what I said but guess hell froze over again
So here I am my own blood on my hands
Back in your bed
Lost in the sheets
Letting the wolf sink her claws into me

No use in hiding
You know where to find me
It’s right where you left me
Led me to the darkness
Your eyes they were harmless until they were deadly
Can’t you just tell me

How many times can I sell you my soul
To fill up this hole in my chest
Reaching for someone to take what I’ve got
Til I ain’t got nothing left
Well I know what I said but guess hell froze over again
So here I am my own blood on my hands
Back in your bed
Lost in the sheets
Letting the wolf sink her claws into me

It has never left me. I’ve been meditating on the nature of resilience, endurance, and grace more deeply since becoming a mother. I was trying to bridge the divide and embrace shame and my inner divinity equally with this piece…"- A

[Verse 1]:
Grandma's hands clapped in church on Sunday morning
Grandma's hands played a tambourine so well
Grandma's hands used to issue out a warning
She'd say, "Billy, don't you run so fast
Might fall on a piece of glass
Might be snakes there in that grass,"
Grandma's hands

Lyrics:

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again

Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again

However far away, I will always love you
However long I stay, I will always love you
Whatever words I say, I will always love you
I will always love you

Simply Red perform LIVE at the magnificent Sydney Opera House during the Farewell Tour in 2010.

Bursting out of Manchester in the Eighties, Simply Red pioneered a distinctively British soul sound that captivated music lovers for 25 years. Now, as the final curtain comes down on the Simply Red era, this concert gives fans a last chance to re-live highlights of a career that yielded over 50 million album sales and a raft of chart-topping singles. Filmed at Sydney Opera House on the Farewell Tour in October 2010, it captures a group at the peak of their powers. Backed by a magnificent six-piece band, frontman Mick Hucknall's vocal performance shows once again that he has one of the finest voices of his generation.

Simply Red have over a billion hits on YouTube, have sold over 60 million albums worldwide, 5 going to number one in the UK. Their 1991 classic Stars was the best-selling album for two years running in Britain and Europe. They have had two US Billboard chart toppers with classic singles Holding Back The Years and If You Don’t Know Me By Now. Every Simply Red studio album has been a UK top ten (with previous release Big Love reaching number 4 in 2015). Hucknall has been the songwriter and bandleader since the beginning in 1985.

After having to move our operation to the outskirts of this year's NAMM convention, I was found by none other than MAURI! He originally sang with me at last year's NAMM and had only seen the video I posted a MONTH before finding me again! I was so glad to get to catch up with Mauri and have him sing another song, as his voice and personality are unique! Hopefully this becomes a recurring event for Mauri and I, getting to do this again at next year's NAMM!

My first time with Mauri: https://youtu.be/BWxnCRE1lE0
Being asked to leave NAMM: https://youtu.be/82VRuNPQ6eU

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).
