"Bleek could be one hit away his whole career, as long as I'm alive he's a millionaire" That line by Jayz in the Diamonds from Sierra Leon remix told me everything I needed to know about what happened to Bleek's career. The biggest takeaway was that Jayz was already coming to terms with Bleek never amounting to what he was set out to be early on. As an artist, Bleek wasn't bad at all. He had a unique sounding rap voice and all the opportunity in the world being attached to Jay since a young age. But for whatever reason, as Jay himself recognized, Bleek was incapable of making a hit song and therefore didn't reach his full potential. Did Jay-z have a hand in what happened? Here's what I think Stunted #memphisbleek musical Growth.

Letting Go ft. Dakota Alvarez by @HollowFrontOfficial is taken from their album, The Fear Of Letting Go, out now.

Stream/Download: https://hollowfront.lnk.to/TFOLG

So then
Screaming turns to tears
And now we’re frozen
My heartbeat’s racing
I can’t let it go

We let our guard down
The passion’s gone now
We bury the seeds we’ve sown
Our talks are cold now
You cry alone
How can we let it go

Out of sight, out of mind
It felt too safe to fall
To turn our back on “us” could save it all
Why can’t we just move on?

We let our guard down
The passion’s gone now
We bury the seeds we’ve sown
Our talks are cold now
You cry alone
How can we let it go

All this time
I never thought that it would come to this
Having to lose you like everyone else
The urge to hold on will be the end of me

I’m sorry you felt so alone
Lost in the deep
Chained to my stone
I’m out of sight, I’ll stay out of mind
We weren’t too safe to fall
It’s time to just move on

We let our guard down
The passion’s gone now
We bury the seeds we’ve sown
Our talks are cold now
You cry alone
How can we let it go

So then
Tears have fallen
Now we’re left here broken
My heartbeat’s racing
I can’t let it go

We let our guard down
The passion’s gone now
We bury the seeds we’ve sown
Our talks are cold now
You cry alone
How can we let it go

Lyrics:
I’ve been ‘normal’
I’ve been ostracized
I’ve watched through a window
As my young self dies
I’ve been popular
With all the popular guys
I gave them punchlines
They gave me warning signs

I look okay
In the magic hour
In the right light
With the right amount of power
And I’m okay
With the life of the sunflower
And I’m okay
With the life of a meteor shower

So say what you will
Go on (Say what you will)
You’re gonna do it anyway
Go on
Just (Say what you will)
You’re gonna do it anyway
Go on
Just (Say what you will)
Go on
You’re gonna do it anyway
Say what you will

I can find my way
With no superpowers
I can take my place
Without becoming sour
I might not make
All those psychopaths proud
‘Least I can see the faces
Of the smaller crowds

And I’m okay
I can drive myself
I’ve been sobered
By time on the shelf
And I’ve been ‘normal’
I’ve been ostracized
Like a comet
Blazing through an empty sky

So say what you will
Say (Say what you will)
Say what you will
Say (Say what you will)

So say what you will
Say (Say what you will)
Say what you will
Say what you will
Say what you will
Say (Say what you will)
(Say what you will)
(Say what you will)

"Bluish" is taken from Chris Farren's new album, Doom Singer - out August 4, 2023.

Directed by Chris Farren
Starring Chris Farren & Frankie Impastato
and introducing "Buddy" (RIP).

"For this video I stood in front of a green screen while my wife blasted me with a leaf blower for 5 minutes. I was inspired by a short animated film I saw on the Criterion Channel (I’m smart) called 'Asparagus' by an amazing visual artist named Suzan Pitt." - Chris Farren (director)

Lyrics:
I don’t remember how to do this, Sitting at a table with our friends And when the sky turns black and bluish i pretend we’re the only people here. I don’t belong anywhere without you on my arm. I try to fight but it’s been such a long night, I’m spinning out. I don’t know how ill make it thru this I can hold my breath for one more year And when my eyes go black and bluish I’ll pretend we’re the only people here. I don’t belong anywhere without you on my arm. I try to fight but it’s been such a long night, I’m spinning out. You saved me from a life lived under rubble Of everything that I’ve ever done wrong I don’t belong anywhere without you on my arm. I try to fight but it’s been such a long night, I’m spinning out. It’s been such a long night.

"Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone - Official Music Video
Listen to Redbone: https://redbone-music.lnk.to/listenYD

Subscribe to the official Redbone YouTube channel: https://redbone-music.lnk.to/subscribeYD

This music video, for the iconic song that made Redbone the first Native American band to achieve a Top 5 single on the Billboard Hot 100, chronicles the experiences of a spiritual traveler who leaves home to explore a new world, and offers a look into the living and changing culture of Native America in the 21st Century. The film reexamines pop-culture imagery in the context of contemporary events, and is inspired by a variety of sources, from graffiti to magical realism, mixing reality with the fantastic, the past with the future. It could not have been possible without the inspiration it drew from the Native Pop Art and Indigenous Futurism art forms, which were innovated by artists who include:

Lyrics:
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with your head? Yeah
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with your mind
And your sign? And a, oh, oh, oh
Hail (hail)
Nothin' the matter with your head
Baby, find it, come on and find it
Hail, with it, baby
'Cause you're fine
And you're mine, and you look so divine
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
