🎤 Lyrics: Paramore - Misery Business

[Intro]
Hit that, hit that snare

[Verse 1]
I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top
She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock
It's a matter of time before we all run out
When I thought he was mine, she caught him by the mouth
I waited eight long months, she finally set him free
I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me
Two weeks and we caught on fire
She's got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smile
[Chorus]
Woah, I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Woah, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God, does it feel so good
'Cause I got him where I want him now
And if you could, then you know you would
'Cause God, it just feels so
It just feels so good

[Verse 2]
Second chances, they don't ever matter, people never change
Once a whore, you're nothing more, I'm sorry, that'll never change
And about forgiveness, we're both supposed to have exchanged
I'm sorry, honey, but I passed it up, now look this way
Well, there's a million other girls who do it just like you
Looking as innocent as possible to get to who
They want and what they like, it's easy if you do it right
Well, I refuse, I refuse, I refuse

[Chorus]
Woah, I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Woah, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God, does it feel so good
'Cause I got him where I want him right now
And if you could, then you know you would
'Cause God, it just feels so
It just feels so good

[Bridge]
I watched his wildest dreams come true
And not one of them involving you
Just watch my wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving

[Guitar Solo]

[Refrain]
Woah, I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now

[Chorus]
Woah, I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Woah, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God, does it feel so good
'Cause I got him where I want him now
And if you could, then you know you would
'Cause God, it just feels so
It just feels so good

BB King - Why I Sing The Blues - Live In Africa 1974 Hotney 5 Streams • 4 years ago

http://gravityworld.tv/Video_Content/bbking.html

B.B. King Live In Africa '74 is a rare - extremely rare - intimate view of
B.B. King in concert. At age 49, having "crossed over" to wide popularity with his show
at the Fillmore West in 1968 and secured his fame with the 1970 hit "The Thrill Is Gone,"
B.B. stands onstage before Muhammad Ali and a crowd of 80,000 on the continent his
ancestors left in chains and gives one of the most thrilling performances of his life. "The
King of the Blues" (B.B.), "Soul Brother #1" (James Brown) and other African-American
artists on the bill reveled in the return to their cultural motherland for a gala affair that was
attended by fans and journalists from all over the world.

The backstory around this perfonnance is rich. Behind B.B. is a large orchestra,
made up of core members ofB.B.'s touring band - pianist Ron Levy, drummer Sonny
Freeman and saxophonist Bobby Forte - plus studio musicians recruited (mostly) from
New York, including renowned session guitarist Larry Carlton. Directed by Hampton
Reese, B.B.'s longtime friend and musical tutor (you'll see him in his plaid sport coat
conducting the band), this collection of musicians achieved their amazing performance
after a single rehearsal in Kinshasa. Hampton wrote the charts for all the songs in the set,
and every musician was playing from those charts.

Of the musicians who played that concert from B.B.'s 1974 touring band, only
Ron Levy is still living. Here are some of his recollections of the unforgettable trip to
Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) and their historic performance there:

To perform in Africa - the land of his ancestors, at this stadium event before
80,000 - plus crazed, hot, sweaty, dancing and bouncing heads and soulfully
pained hearts -- must have had a very special personal significance for B.B.,
as it did for us all. We all realized this was not just another gig. It was history,
good history. We were all very proud to be a part of it. As far as the set went,
we performed 8.B.'s most famous hits. I have to say, this was probably the
first lime this crowd ever heard - or heard of - B.B. King. but as usual he
left them wanting more, as well as an indelible memory of his sincere personal
passion and deep-felt blues.

He definitely connected with them like the beloved king he is. If you're a
B.B. King fan, you are in for a rare treat with B.B, King Live in Africa '74. If this is
your introduction to the King of the Blues, you'll understand why he is so loved the
world over.

-Charles Sawyer

Charles Sawyer is the author of the first biography of B.B. King.
The Arrival Of B.B. King (Doubleday 1980, Da Capo 1982),
He teaches ""History Of Blues In America" at Harvard Extension School,
and leads his own blues band, 2120 South Michigan Avenue.

The Greek heavy and hard rock scene has a much longer and busier history than most people would think. Legendary bands of the 1970s, such as Aphrodite’s Child and Socrates Drank the Conium are proof that psychedelia and rock have been flourishing in Greece for decades. Yet, when it comes to the genre that is nowadays identified as “stoner rock”, the band that is credited for having pioneered it in Greece is Nightstalker. They formed as a heavy rock band in 1989, at a time when the alternative rock scene of Greece was starting to make waves with bands like Honeydive, Deus-X-Machina, The Last Drive and Make Believe in Athens, and Ziggy Was in Thessaloniki, and when the world-renowned metal monsters of Rotting Christ and Septic Flesh were putting out their first albums. With influences that ranged from Black Sabbath and Monster Magnet, to the early dirty sound of the Seattle underground and even the groove of RHCP (just listen to “What your name is” on their classic EP “Side FX” in 1994), Nightstalker were one of the first bands in Europe to record and perform music described today as “stoner rock”. Although the band rejects that label and prefer to call themselves a rock band, there is no doubt that they inspired many bands and laid the foundations of what is known today as the Greek Stoner Rock scene.

In the years that followed, and especially during the 00's, a number of bands rose from the Greek underground, like Planet of Zeus, 1000Mods, Villagers of Ioannina City (VIC), corroborated with independent labels like Lazy Dog Records, Spinalonga Records and The Lab Records (among many others), with underground live venues like An Club in Athens (once described as the Greek CBGB) and X-Club in Thessaloniki (nowadays Eightball Club). More recently, tens of new bands have come along, such as Naxatras, Puta Volcano and Deaf Radio, with distinctly new psychedelic, alternative, grungy and progressive rock sounds, incorporating influences all the way from the Palm Desert Scene to the golden 90s scene of Seattle, and even drawing on classic rock and metal. In the past few years, Greek bands have been touring in Europe, with some reaching as far as the USA and Australia. In 2019, a documentary directed by the Spanish director Miguel Angel Cano Santizo described the explosion of the underground music movement in Greece as a “Greek Rock Revolution” (with 8.2 on IMDb). At the moment, there are numerous bands in the broader stoner heavy rock genre throughout Greece, pushing their sound to new directions and bringing forward new amazing albums, every day, even as we speak.

Words by Dimitris Nesapu Vardoulix (Honeybadger) and Ioannis Valiakos (Dendrites).

.........................

"Smooth jazz is music that evolved from a blend of jazz fusion and easy listening pop music, featuring a polished pop feel with little to no jazz improvisation. The genre arose in the mid-1970s in the United States, but it was not named "smooth jazz" until the 1980s. Traditional jazz players and jazz purists did not embrace the popular style; Jazz Journal's "Sound Investment" column stated in November 1999 that it "would cover an extremely wide spectrum of jazz styles" while avoiding smooth jazz.

The earliest smooth jazz music appearing in the 1970s includes the 1975 album Touch by saxophonist John Klemmer, the song "Breezin'" as performed by guitarist George Benson in 1976, the 1977 instrumental composition "Feels So Good" by flugelhorn player Chuck Mangione, and jazz fusion group Spyro Gyra's instrumental "Morning Dance", released in 1979. Smooth jazz grew in popularity in the 1980s as Anita Baker, Sade, Al Jarreau and Grover Washington released multiple hit songs. The smooth jazz genre began to decline at the end of the 1980s in a backlash exemplified by critical complaints about what many critics saw as the "bland" sound of top-selling saxophonist Kenny G, whose popularity peaked with his 1992 album Breathless." ~Wikipedia

Lyrics:
Something in the way you love me won't let me be
I don't want to be your prisoner
So baby, won't you set me free?

Stop playing with my heart
Finish what you start
When you make my love come down
If you want me, let me know
Baby, let it show
Honey, don't you fool around

Just try to understand
(Understand)
I've given all I can
'Cause you got the best of me

Borderline
Feels like I'm going to lose my mind
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
Borderline
Feels like I'm going to lose my mind
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
(Borderline)

Keep on pushing me, baby
Don't you know you drive me crazy?
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline

Something in your eyes is making such a fool of me
When you hold me in your arms
You love me 'til I just can't see

But then you let me down
When I look around
Baby, you just can't be found
Stop driving me away
I just wanna stay
There's something I just got to say

Just try to understand
(Understand)
I've given all I can
'Cause you got the best of me

Borderline
Feels like I'm going to lose my mind
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
Borderline
Feels like I'm going to lose my mind
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
(Borderline)

Keep on pushing me, baby
Don't you know you drive me crazy?
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline

Look what your love has done to me
C'mon, baby, set me free
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
(Borderline)
You cause me so much pain
I think I'm going insane
What does it take to make you see?
You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline

Keep pushing me
Keep pushing me
Keep pushing my love
(Keep on pushing my love over the borderline, borderline)
C'mon, baby
C'mon, darling, yeah

You just keep on pushing my love over the borderline
