Learn more about the music:
British-Austrian percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger brings a deep affinity with Indian rhythm to his roots in jazz and Western classical. Many Western percussionists have dabbled with the sounds and shapes of India, but Bernhard’s detailed study sets him apart - notably his association with tabla maestro Suresh Talwalkar. He interprets the grammar of Hindustani music on a variety of drums - full kit, cajon, or whatever he can lay his hands on - as well as writing for orchestra and dance.
He has worked with classical artists including Rakesh Chaurasia, as well as fusioneers such as Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, Talvin Singh, and Susheela Raman, as well as the Akram Khan company and his own group Circle of Sound. He is unafraid of eclecticism, never letting his virtuoso technique mask his musical priorities. Hear more of Bernhard here:

“My work is fuelled by curiosity and respect and the desire to exchange something profound and make human encounters meaningful.” (Bernhard Schimpelsberger)

What Killed the King of Pop?: The Death of Michael Jackson (Mystery Documentary) | Real Stories
Killing Michael Jackson is a 2019 documentary film directed and produced by ZigZag, focusing on the death of singer Michael Jackson. The documentary features Orlando Martinez, Dan Myers and Scott Smith – three detectives who were involved in the initial investigation of Jackson's death.
On June 25, 2009, American singer Michael Jackson died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his home on North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said he found Jackson in his room, not breathing and with a weak pulse, and administered CPR on Jackson to no avail.
On August 28, 2009, the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled that Jackson's death was a homicide. Shortly before his death, Jackson had reportedly been administered propofol and two anti-anxiety benzodiazepines, lorazepam, and midazolam, in his home. Law enforcement officials charged Murray with involuntary manslaughter on November 7, 2011, and served two years of his four-year prison sentence, early release per good behavior.

The Spirit Behind Music is a short documentary about Casa Verde Colectivo from Mexico. https://www.facebook.com/casaverdecolectivoband/
Film by Hans Peter Schepp - http://www.hansschepp.com
**Big News from Amsterdam to Mexico!**
There are moments that simply need to be captured in order to share them with others. Last summer in Amsterdam I found one. A regular Thursday night turned into a night full of glory, light, warmth and happiness. I experienced so much spirit while listening to the music of Casa Verde Colectivo that I could not resist to make a documentary about a group of beautiful colorful musicians from Mexico City. Next day, the adventure started, my dear friend Sergi and I started the ride, and I am very happy that we did, and very thankful to all the band, for opening their hearts to me, sharing essence that is so important to the world, embracing humanity and share the adventure with me. I hope you enjoy this documentary and find the spirit behind the music.
Thank you for watching, sharing, commenting and for joining, together we can do more!
Love,
Hans
BECOMING LED ZEPPELIN (2021) (UK, USA) Music Documentary
Directed by Bernard MacMahon
Official Selection 2021
• Venice Film Festival
CAST:
Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham, Robert Plant
SYNOPSIS:
Becoming Led Zeppelin is a film that no one thought could ever be made. The band’s meteoric rise to stardom was swift and virtually undocumented. With unparalleled access to the group and their personal archives, their full support, and never-before-seen footage, Becoming Led Zeppelin will immerse you in the sights and sounds of their early career. For all the millions of people who will never see the band live, this is as close as you will get to being there. Before the stairway and the dragon, before the gold and the girls, there were simply four men and their love of music. Becoming Led Zeppelin reveals their individual journeys as they move through the music scene of the 1960s, playing small clubs throughout Britain and performing on some of the biggest hits of the era, until their meeting in the summer of 1968 for a rehearsal that changes their lives forever. Their four journeys merge into one as they set out to conquer America on a rollercoaster ride that culminates in 1970 when they become the number one band in the world.

Watch Nothing Is Eternal, The FADER’s Otherworldly Short Film About AURORA.
In Bergen, Norway, the pop artist shares the childhood secrets that helped to build her captivating musical world.
“Music is not something you should keep for yourself. It can’t be put in a cage, because it’s wild and alive.” So says AURORA, the 20-year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter behind fantastical, stampeding folk-pop songs like “Conqueror” and “Runaway.” AURORA’s music often looks at the everyday with a kind of wide-eyed wonder, and in this new documentary short Nothing Is Eternal — directed by Isaac Ravishankara, and produced by The FADER with YouTube Music — it’s plain to see that that this worldview is no performance. It’s simply how AURORA lives her life.
Following the artist from the bustling streets of New York to her rain-soaked hometown of Bergen, the film includes interviews with AURORA's closest friends, as well as uniquely stripped-back performances of tracks including “Warrior” and “Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1).” Whether she’s reminiscing on her childhood with her sisters, dancing through the city streets in her headphones, or discussing the secret life of apples, there’s a spellbinding quality to everything the artist does.
“When I first met you, I was like, ‘Oh my god, there’s a girl who’s magic,’” one of AURORA’s childhood friends remembers in a particularly endearing scene. The deeper this film goes into her lush and rose-tinted world, the harder it is to shake that feeling off.

Palestine Underground by Boiler Room, 4:3 and Ma3azef documents the resilience of a burgeoning music scene undeterred and fuelled by political restrictions, building bridges through a shared sound and identity.
For the past ten years, Palestinian music collective Jazar Crew have been fostering a vibrant party scene in Haifa, as an alternative to the mainstream club scene in Israel.
Thanks to the internet, they've connected with artists in Ramallah, Palestine, and defied the separation wall to travel to the West Bank and organise events with Techno DJs Sama' Abdulhadi and Oddz, and members of the tantalising hip hop and trap scene, the collectives Saleb Wahad and Bltnm.
Palestine Underground follows a week in the life of these artists and friends, in the lead up to the first Boiler Room in Ramallah in June this year.
A part of Contemporary Scenes - uncovering underground collectives, artists and subcultures from across the world.

Inspired by new sounds, new technologies and the political events of the time, the early 90s sees the emergence of a scene that euphorically celebrates the dawning of a new era.
In Berlin, Frankfurt and many other German cities, activists tinker on a new music and club culture oriented around the coordinates Techno and House.
At Berlin's Love Parade in 1991, different local scenes congregate for the first time. The trend turns into a movement. A German Summer of Love, which changes whole lives overnight and kick-starts careers.
The basic principle of Techno stands for experimenting, crossing borders and DIY. Fans become DJs or party promoters. Labels are founded and record stores open up. The scene grows. An independent microcosm is created. Networks are formed away from established structures. For a moment everything seems possible…
WE CALL IT TECHNO! tells the story of a tempestuous phase in music history, the first time that pop culture was created significantly in Germany.
With exclusive interviews and comprehensive, mostly unreleased film and photo archive material from the years 1988-1994!
Incl. Statements from Ata, Cosmic Baby, Mijk van Dijk, Elsa for Toys, Hell, Mike Ink., Jürgen Laarmann, Mark Reeder, Tanith, Triple R, Upstart, Sven Väth, Wolle XDP and many more
“This music had such power that we left everything behind... We felt like a new age was starting and we were the first to notice.” (Upstart, Munich)
“It was like a dance on a vulcano. Like: technology brings us progress, but it’ll also destroy us. On the other hand: who gives a sh!t, first I’ll just dance.” (Wolle XDP, Berlin)
“We did a lot of space studies at the time. It all tended towards psycho-active stimulation with the aim of going up and it all never coming to an end. Actually, we tried the weirdest stuff. (Elsa For Toys, Berlin)
“1989, after the fall of the Wall, when the Techno movement in Berlin grew from one day to the next, we all felt like we could change the world.” (Cosmic Baby, Berlin)
“The Moment of unity was short, it lasted maybe one summer.” (Ralf Niemczyk, Cologne)
“It’s nice to see that many people in this context made it, that Techno and House isn’t just stupifying music connected to drugs.” (Frank Blümel, Berlin)

Acclaimed is one of Dylan's greatest albums! This long-awaited critical review features rare live performances with analysis from a leading team of rock journalists and critics. The album is a product of Bob Dylan’s struggle to come to terms with the breakdown of his 8-year-long marriage to Sara.
Blood on the Tracks is the fifteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on January 20, 1975, by Columbia Records. The album marked Dylan's return to Columbia Records after a two-album stint with Asylum Records. Dylan began recording the album in New York City in September 1974. In December, shortly before Columbia was due to release the album, Dylan abruptly re-recorded much of the material in a studio in Minneapolis. The final album contains five tracks recorded in New York and five from Minneapolis.
Blood on the Tracks initially received mixed reviews, but has subsequently been acclaimed as one of Dylan's greatest albums by both critics and fans. The songs have been linked to tensions in Dylan's personal life, including his estrangement from his then-wife Sara. One of their children, Jakob Dylan, has described the songs as "my parents talking". In interviews, Dylan has denied that the songs on the album are autobiographical.
The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts and No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, with the single "Tangled Up in Blue" peaking at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The album remains one of Dylan's best-selling studio releases, with a double-platinum U.S. certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[5] In 2015, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It was voted number 7 in the third edition of Colin Larkin's book All Time Top 1000 Albums (2000), in 2003, the album was ranked No. 16 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, rising to the No. 9 spot in the 2020 revision of that same list. In 2004, it was placed at No. 5 on Pitchfork's list of the top 100 albums of the 1970s.

"Krautrock" nannten die Engländer abschätzig die Musik, die zu Beginn der 70er Jahre in Deutschland entstand. In der sechsstündigen Dokumentation wird diese Epoche erstmals im Deutschen Fernsehen aufgearbeitet. Alle stilprägenden Gruppen jener Jahre werden in Wort und Bild vorgestellt, darunter viele Aufnahmen, die seit ihrer Erstausstrahlung nicht mehr gezeigt wurden.
Scenes from the "Haight-Ashbury in the Sixties" CD-ROM released in 1996, featuring music, interviews, clips, light shows, poster art, narration by Allen Cohen and Raechel Donahue, produced by Tony Bove. (www.rockument.com/Haight/).
This documentary tells (using modern day interviews and archival footage and sound tapes) the story of how in 1967, while his band The Beach Boys triumphantly toured abroad, Brian Wilson was trying to push the boundaries of conventional pop music with a new follow-up to the Beach Boys' cutting-edge mega-hit, Pet Sounds. The new album was to be called "SMiLE". SMiLE pushed the envelope both musically and lyrically, and was supposed to out-do the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper record. But Brian wasn't able to sell the project to his band-mates when they returned. The project was shelved and Wilson's well-documented decline into depression, drug abuse, recluseness, and obesity had begun. Thirty-odd years later, Wilson announced that in 2004, SMiLE would be performed live in its entirety in London. This film tells the story of a damaged but healing artist bringing his greatest work to light. Written by Martin Lewison

Iggy Pop was punk before punk even existed. Channeling rock & roll and Chicago blues influences with his band The Stooges in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Red Bull Music Academy was honored in September 2016 to welcome Iggy Pop at Montréal’s Monument-National: Ludger-Duvernay Theatre, Canada’s oldest theater, for a lengthy conversation about his colossal career with noted Canadian music journalist Carl Wilson.

The Michigan native created some of the most potent rock music the world had ever heard, influencing virtually every generation of punk, garage rock and grunge artists that was to come. Pop’s high-wire collaborations with David Bowie in the latter half of the ’70s are the stuff of legend and spawned some of both artists’ most enduring hits. In 2016, he affirmed his position in the pantheon of rock music with his celebrated Post Pop Depression LP.

Sauntering in with a stitched Chome Hearts face covering, A$AP Bari’s presence is immediately felt. “I’m on my Ye shit,” he says with a smirk, as the word “architect” isn’t enough to describe the fashion designer, mogul and creative director. To be “different at all times” is what he set out to accomplish in life, and looking back, he’s done just that.
The A$AP co-founder and “Mr. Vlone” himself has played a huge part in the ascension of hip-hop’s current regime. Whether it be the clothes A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott or Lil Yachty rock on the daily, Bari’s calling has always been to “influence the influencers” — emanating his streetwear sauce and refined “lifestyle” in every facet. “I’m like a fashion drug dealer… I sell clothes like drugs… I’m selling MY product.” he said, describing the exclusivity of his founded brands in VLONE and ENDLESS.
In his first-ever on-camera interview, Bari sat down with OGM host Hakeem Rowe to speak on his roots in Harlem, A$AP Mob's formation A$AP, Rocky, Yams, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Virgil Abloh, VLONE, the SoundCloud era and so much more in this extremely special Our Generation Music exclusive.
