Daryl Hall and John Oates, live at Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney, AU. Recorded February 8, 2012.

When Daryl Hall and John Oates took to the stage at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre as the iconic bass line of ‘Maneater’ began to play, the fans knew they were in for a treat.
This duo may have been opening concerts with that irresistibly smooth number for years, but it never seems to lose its magic, and the crowd – an eclectic mix of teens and baby boomers alike – lapped it up.
Daryl Hall and John Oates wisely reunited a few years ago after a string of solo projects, and although Oates no longer sports his signature ‘tache, they put on the kind of show that makes it hard to believe they even considered going their separate ways. Earworms like ‘I Can’t Go For That’, ‘Out Of Touch’ and ‘Kiss On My List’ were surefire reminders that these guys are absolute hit machines, and their catchy synth-soul classics probably deserve to permeate the airwaves as much today as they did decades ago.
These Philly crooners still have it in bucket-loads, so this show should have everyone from diehard Daryl Hall and John Oates fans to kids of the 80s groovin’ along in no time.

BBC FOUR pays tribute to musical maverick John Martyn, who died at the age of 60 on 29th January 2009, with an intimate documentary portrait originally transmitted in 1994. This honest and often blackly hilarious film shows Martyn at home in Ireland, during the lead-up to and aftermath of an operation to have one of his legs amputated below the knee.

Contributors include sometime collaborator and buddy Phil Collins, Ralph McTell, Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, fellow hellraiser bassist Danny Thompson, John's ex-wife Beverley Martyn and younger generation fan Beth Orton.

We see a man incapable of compromising his creative vision, from his folk club roots in the Sixties, through a career of continuous musical experimentation. Along the way there is a surreal roll-call of accidents and incidents, including a collision with a cow.

A Short Documentary I made on the infamous GG AlLLIN back when I was in college. Took almost 3 years to produce due to funds (being students and from Toronto, ON Canada), crew dropping out (due to subject matter the more they got involved), Professors (that fought me and didn't see the vision), or just problems all together. Overall my vision from late 2005 beat the odds and my crew that was dedicated as I was, won Best Documentary presented by CTV Canada at the Sherdian MA Awards 2008. I have over the last couple of years wanted to expand it to a full length documentary, with the proper funds and Merle Allin on board. I know, we can finally pull off the ultimate GG Allin documentary! It could happen. But I will let the people decide based on the example student documentary. LIVE FAST DIE: GG ALLIN is still the king of the rock and roll underground.
